About me – a new page in the brewing diary. Small batch all grain. brewed in the cellar. 15/09/02 at 7.14pm / by Urmstonian101. After a week carbonating in the bottle and cooled in the fridge before serving, the Saison is ready! Good colour and aroma. Very dry finish and a good head, but this doesn’t last too long. Cor blimey, it's youngpip.com. Shhtop, itsh not ready yet…. Well it seems the fermentation has slowed up somewhat on these last stages. 1.008 yesterday and just down to 1.006 today. So not far off but not quite done yet…. Oh, and I had to have a taste (just to make sure it’s on track you understand). Still smells a bit “fermenty” but tastes good. Nice and fruity and pretty tart.
