Due to the fact that the Erin Awards were not held for the 2008 year, all game released from November 1, 2007 through December 31, 2009 are eligible for consideration this year. The traditional end of the Erins year has always been October 31st. As of this year, and probably from now on, the deadline for consideration has been changed to December 31st. There are two major rounds of judging to determine the winners of the AIFAs; one by a panel of judges to determine the nominees, and a public ballot to determine the winners. CW4 is now up to 303 kb (I topped 300! I suppose you deserve another update on CW4. I'm up to 278 kb now, and I'll try to get the writing finished this month (can't guarantee I'll succeed).
