The course of the railway at Bratton Fleming can be seen in the trees. My aunt recounted to me before her death many years ago that there had been a big snow storm in the 1930s and the railway operated trains throughout the night to keep the line open. This model celebrates this story. The diorama displays in both daylight and the dark, so lights are fitted into the buildings and rolling stock. Likewise, sound is fitted to the trains.

Rather, to just establish in model form, hopefully the very essence of this grimy industrial concern. . Please excuse the poor diagram. Bowaters (ish) in 009. Thursday, 14 January 2010. This is my rendition of the Bowaters 0-4-0 fireless loco 'Victor. It is a still available Whitemetal Kit by Golden Arrow. Http:/ www.goldenarrow.me.uk/services.htm. Its designed to go on either of two chassis, both now defunct. One being the Bachmann dockside shunter 0-4-0, the other the infamous Ibertren 'cuckoo' 0-4-0. With both chassis, they are employed backwards, as on the prototype, the cylinders were reversed. The Traeth Mawr Railway is a 009 representation of a 2ft gauge Railway in North Wales, that was built in the 1830s to transport slate from the quarries high in the mountains, to the port, miles away. Friday, January 4, 2013. The last few days have been spent adjusting the track at the station. A catch point was put in place of one of the crossover points, another point was placed to access the slate wharf and a few isolating sections put in. All it needs now is power droppers to be installed in various places and the wiring altered to go into a new Controll panel that controls the entire layout. Sunday, September 15, 2013. F&WHR Great and Small. For me, the best part was being able to exhibit next to a phenomenal layout, Bron Hebog. I'd like to say thanks to Rob, David and Francis for being kind enough to share some modeling know-how, allowing K1 to escape for a quick photo charter, letting Prince to run with a slate train on Bron Hebog and testing the abilities of 'Voulenteer' the Peckett as it hauled a 6 car WHR train along their layout.
