Grave Clothes or Grace Clothes →. January 3, 2017. I sit here in our front living room in the quiet of a house in which most have gone to bed. The light from the Christmas tree casts a warm, inviting glow about the room, it beckons me to come and sit a while. Ah, this room holds so many memories…. Thanks to the encouragement of a friend, I will brush the dust and cobwebs off this old blog and attemp to write again… I do miss writing here. Ah… it’s 2017. How ever did that happen? 8220;Therefore if any man...

Building Bridges for Christ: January 2010
http://buildingbridges4.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Building Bridges for Christ. Saturday, January 2, 2010. We have been known to throw some "wild" parties in our lifetime, but this past Thursday just might have surpassed them all. :) We organized a New Year's Eve party at our church. And the theme? Don't laugh. Just hang tight for a minute, and it will all make sense. :). You can give anything from Bibles, to bicycles for missionaries, to chickens, to blankets. And don't forget about the water buffaloes! Each of the four teams had to draw items that invo...

Building Bridges for Christ. Saturday, March 9, 2013. The Bridges family's latest project! The Lord has given us the idea of producing a DVD to help children memorize Scripture with hand motions, and after a year or more of dreaming and planning and praying, we are moving forward! We've already filmed a small portion of the DVD (a pilot project over the first weekend in February - see pictures below), and the rest of the filming will happen in April. Interested to learn more? Hop on over HERE.

http://buildingbridges4.blogspot.com/2011/06/first-piano-recital.html
Building Bridges for Christ. Saturday, June 18, 2011. A time of memories. A time of laughter. A time of nervousness :). And a time of victory! Several weeks ago, Christa and I had our first piano recital for our students, and ended up making memories that I think will last for years! We are so thankful to our Father for bringing these students into our lives and blessing us with the opportunity to make music together that honors Him! Let's get started.". Welcoming the students and families. Tara and Kell...

Building Bridges for Christ: August 2010
http://buildingbridges4.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Building Bridges for Christ. Friday, August 20, 2010. Catching up.summer time! How do 6 months go by, and it feels like only 2 months? I am amazed to realize that it has been a full 6 months since we have posted on our poor neglected blog! We are getting back in the swing of things after 4 1/2 weeks away from home this summer. As wonderful as it is to travel and see dear friends and family, visit new places, and meet new people, it always comes back to.there's no place like home! While we were in town, o...

Building Bridges for Christ. Friday, January 28, 2011. Well, 6 months later, and what have the Bridges been up to all this time? This is a blog post with lots of pictures to share how good God has been in this past year! Our last post was of our summer trip. We arrived back home and started up the fall semester with a more normal schedule once again. For Christa and me, this was finishing up school, continuing our music studies. With our dear teacher, Elizabeth. And cello for me,. More on this later!

Building Bridges for Christ: From the Film Studio
http://buildingbridges4.blogspot.com/2013/04/from-film-studio.html
Building Bridges for Christ. Monday, April 29, 2013. From the Film Studio. It is hard to believe that the filming for the Scripture Talk DVD is now completed! It’s a weird mix of emotions….total relief and excitement, mixed with the inevitable “let down” that comes from having poured your life into one avenue for 6 long months. Below are several pictures to show a few highlights of our time with filmmaker Alex Lerma and his crew, along with 50 children and several teachers. Our family has much work to be...

Bible Brains… | Paul Hastings
http://paulhastings.me/2013/03/11/bible-brains
Night of the Living Geek. Too Late to Apologize. By Paul Hastings • Everyday Life. Bull; Mar 11, 2013. Since last September I’ve had the privilege of consulting with Kate Bridges. As they create an instructional DVD for children. The thesis of the project is helping children memorize Bible passages using hand-motions, a method that appears to be quite effective (and perhaps something I should try myself? Of course), and I can personally vouch that this puppy is ready to launch! Do Something About It.

Building Bridges for Christ: Fireworks in Heaven :)
http://buildingbridges4.blogspot.com/2011/07/fireworks-in-heaven.html
Building Bridges for Christ. Thursday, July 7, 2011. Fireworks in Heaven :). We have had many fun 4th of July weekends, but I think this past time will prove to be the most memorable for the Bridges family! As a tradition, we always go to a certain fireworks display on the 4th of July in Addison TX. People line the street for miles to see the fireworks. But everyone gets there around 5:00 or 6:00, because an an airshow complete with World War II airplanes always happens first. Is the pope Catholic? We we...

Building Bridges for Christ: February 2011
http://buildingbridges4.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Building Bridges for Christ. Friday, February 18, 2011. Christa and I were just starting kindergarten in the Bridges Home Institute, playing for the first time what we thought was an incredibly exciting new game (also known to the world at large as "school"). Christa and I were sitting at our kitchen table with Mom, trying to remember what letter comes after "B". We learned that 1 1 = 2. And 13 years later. Dad was our emcee, keeping us all laughing for the night's activities! And of course the highlight...
