The bike stand consists of a 16mm bar that was bent using the oxyacetylene welder. The bar is wedged into an 25mm bar which is welded to the frame. Two nylon fittings keep the bars together with an interference fit. The fit is tight enough for the peg to stay up when not needed. It also looks similar to an exhaust when not in use. The placement of the faces protect the tank from the front axle when it is turned. The idea of the zip is to make the tank resemble the yellow jumpsuits worn by the characters in Breaking Bad. December 5, 2013. I manufactured the kickstand by forging a piece of 10mm round steel. I first heated the top of the bar again using the oxy acetylene burning torch and them beating the heated bar flat using the ball pein hammer against the anvil. After that I cut it to length and did the same on the other side. Then finally I drilled the hole and bend it to the correct angle. I them spayed the kick stand black and mounted it to the bike. November 28, 2013. For this piece I simply got 50mm aluminium tubing and faced it off on the lathe. I followed this up by acquiring a brass bar the same diameter. Either end was machined down to the internal size of the aluminium tube. The Brass was hammered into the tube with a wooden mallet. In essence-an interference fit.
