Sparkler Quilt WIP - Quiltineering
http://www.quiltineering.com/sparkler-quilt-wip
August 10, 2015. I’m continuing to work at putting a dent in my WIP pile, and this weekend I pulled out my Sparkler Quilt. I pieced this project 4 houses ago. I tend to remember my life’s details by which state/country I lived in, and this one was pieced in the summer heat of Mississippi in 2013. I’ve always loved this quilt. The pattern is by Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced. Hopefully I’ll have a finish to show you by the end of the week! What a fabulous quilt! What a lovely gradation! That is an awesome...

I started these blocks last year after discovering Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s wonderful 15 Minutes of Play. The centers are fabric scraps left over from quilts I’ve completed. It makes me so happy to see these little pieces of my creations all in one place! The finished blocks are 8 1/2″ squares with 6″ center circles. I use the 6 Minute Circle. Needle and Thread Thursday. Quilt for baby | Sarah Quilts

Making pretty things and talking about it. Barn door quilt along. November 7, 2014. A few weeks ago I made some little stuffed toys for the baby’s room… and then somehow a quilt sprung out of the same fabrics. Spontaneous combustion? It was more of a challenge than I initially expected! But it was definitely challenging and a little backbreaking. I quickly decided to reduce the overall size of the quilt and add a border! That cut the number of blocks I needed from 20 to 9. Here it is before quilting.

Starry Night

Six days before Christmas I decided I wanted an extra gift and started a new mini baby quilt. And I think it’s safe to say that this is in the top 3 of my most crazy quilty things :). I choose the pattern stars. Which I had pinned recently on pinterest. The colors were to be yellow and orange with a vanilla background as gender is not yet determined and those are the nursery colors. I also added some grey. So please do not. Go, buy the pattern. To get a working concept and to have fun in the process.

The Nautical Quilt - QuiltModerne

Earlier this year, my mother asked me to make her a nautical themed quilt for my parents' bedroom at the lake house. She wanted something simple and very "primary and almost childlike". I immediately thought of this quilt. By Ashley over at Film in the Fridge. We decided to keep the palette quite simple: bold shades of red and blue, with some warm neutrals added in, set against a creamy white background. 8203;Linking up with. Oh I can imagine how happy they were - what a beautiful quilt. And it is r...

http://www.mell-meyer.de/2016/01/how-to-forget-important-stuff
How to forget the two most important things for the road trip to the longarm machine. On the 16th of July I organized time on a longarm quilting machine for the 14th 15th of December 2015. By that time I had about finished the blocks for the second and third border but not yet attached even one of those. Psst! Don’t mention the border 4 to 6. But that was 151 days ahead of time. Almost half a year. I should be able to finish the quilt easily till then, right? Besides the obvious half year? Early November...
