Left with Daffy: July 2010
http://leftwithdaffy.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Moving poem that I just had to share. I slept and dreamt that life was joy;. I awoke and saw that life was duty;. I acted, and behold, duty was joy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Left with Daffy: August 2013
http://leftwithdaffy.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 26, 2013. Ever so often, Ed would teach me what love is. It isn't the luxurious holidays, expensive gifts or grand gestures. It is in all the smallest things, in the everyday, in the routine. It is when he does the laundry. It is when he asks if there's anything I need help with in the kitchen when all he really wants to do is take a nap. It is when he does the dishes the day after parties I throw a party for my friends. It is when he asks to hold my hand in the middle of an argument.

Left with Daffy: July 2014
http://leftwithdaffy.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 25, 2014. Photo taken at Seal Bay Conservation Park on Kangaroo Island. I've finally gone and done it. Under the encouragement of my best friend cum husband, and catalysed by a couple of life-changing events, I've left my job. I think this has been one of the most important decisions I've had to make in my life, second to deciding to marry Ed, which of course was not a difficult one. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Left with Daffy: August 2010
http://leftwithdaffy.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 29, 2010. I have been mighty stressed of late because of (surprise surprise) work. Sometimes (actually many times) I wonder why I care so much, why I get so harassed when I cannot complete my tasks. After all, when we are minutes away from breathing our last, what really matters isn't how many tasks we've completed or by when, but who our lives impacted and how. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Left with Daffy: June 2010
http://leftwithdaffy.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 18, 2010. I just had a long, personal chat with a colleague I adore and will miss when she has to leave. I hear sounds of trickling water from the prawn tank she inherited from someone else, the beeping tune of reversing trucks from the construction site next door and the low whirring of my tiny, overworked laptop. It is 10pm on a Friday night, and this loser is still in the office. Here's a photo I took at the train station - the little boy who made time pass in the blink of an eye.

Left with Daffy: February 2010
http://leftwithdaffy.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 13, 2010. Shadows, textures and shapes. More beauty around than we can wrap our heads around. Went to the Bukit Batok Nature Reserve last weekend and was floored by the amazing shadows, textures and shapes created by mother nature. The way the baby ferns are all curled up at first and how they slowly unfurl their delicate sheets left me in awe. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
