Thursday, December 04, 2014. 34 Is Gonna Be A Great Year. Since I last blogged, my birthday came and went. It was the best birthday ever and exactly what I hoped it would be. My birthday fell on a Sunday this year, the first not-working-at-church-where-I-need-to-work Sunday/birthday I've had in a long time. We slept in, got Starbucks, got to sit together in church with family that was in town. And remember too that Kim. Ive checked in on your blog from time to time. Happy Belated Birthday!

Monday, May 25, 2015. Thirteen years married, almost nineteen together, about twenty-one that I've had a major crush on you. I guess you could say we know each other pretty well by now. And I know there's no one else I'd rather be stuck with for life. I also know I love you more every day that passes. Thanks for being my lobster. I love you always and forever. Friday, May 22, 2015. So now the news is out. Yay! Thursday, May 21, 2015. December 2013: Homestudy completed (We're officially approved! And bene...

Saturday, August 09, 2014. We're having a blast with CC's parents here! We haven't seen this since Christmas, which for our family, is a bit longer than usual. So far I'm still dealing with my hatred for poison ivy and all things itchy. I also massacred my big toe the other night stubbing it under the metal car seat (& more importantly ruined my cute pedicure! Anyway, despite my frustration and discouragement with my klutzy self we're having such a great time! We've eaten lots, played cards. Looking forw...

Saturday, May 31, 2014. Yesterday we closed on our new house! It made for a super exciting, full-speed kind of day. We had ChickfilA for breakfast to celebrate and then headed to Closing. The appointment before us was running wayyyy behind so we waited a while before it was our turn. We finally went back to sign everything and it all took EIGHT minutes. Eight! Our hands weren't even tired of signing yet! We had to wait longer after for it to be recorded and to collect a check (yay! After we took Scouty h...

Saturday, March 29, 2014. Change Is Happening, People. I typically despise any type of change. I have a really hard time with change in general, even the good kind. I find it all incredibly stressful, even if I somehow end up really excited by whatever's coming next. The past few months (since last summer, really) have been nothing but huge, major decisions full of the promise of giant changes for my life. I read this about change in my devotion the other day and it kind of walloped me between the eyes:.

Friday, May 22, 2015. So now the news is out. Yay! These past almost ten months have been amazing and haaaard. Parenting is no joke, in case you hadn't heard. We've got a mover and a shaker on our hands. She's extreme, always wanting to be upside down or moving somewhere she shouldn't be heading. I thought I had more time before I said "no" all day long, but just the opposite! Worth it though when I feel her little pudgy arms around me or hear her squeals of delight with Daddy. Attack Of The 62 Inch Woman.

Thursday, February 27, 2014. Follow-Up On The Toe Situation. Yesterday CC had his follow-up for his toe. They took x-rays like they've done every time. and we waited for the doctor. He wasn't long in coming, but he was a different guy from the first time since the first doctor left the practice. This new doctor was nice enough, said he'd looked at the x-rays, and then proceeded to ask which toe was broken. (WHAT? We should've known at that point. The doctor then started. Also the little matter of your di...

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Today we ran away to the beach for the afternoon and it was glorious. We didn't really talk about the house or our future kid or any planning or financial things or work or anything. The weather was perfect and sunny, the traffic was light, and the waves were big. Just what we needed! Our lunch view at a dockside restaurant. Monday, July 28, 2014. Settling In, Continued. I've got so many photos I thought I'd split them up into more than just the one post. We love this silly girl!
