Friday, August 23, 2013. The only way I'm going to be able to give our Thailand trip the least bit of justice is by blogging about it bit by bit. So, here I go. :). Nate and I wanted to do a big trip to celebrate him graduating and before we entered the working world again. We really wanted to go somewhere where we could see some amazing sights and also get in some serious r&r. So, after much thought and advice from friends, we decided on Thailand. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We flew to Chicago and ...

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. A video of our family. Our good friend Matt is a really talented videographer and he offered to do a video of our family that would be a "Day in the Life of the Wright's" sort of deal. We'd seen his video's before and knew that whatever he had in mind would be awesome, so we jumped at the chance to document this stage of our lives that we have loved so much. Matt spent the entire day (over 12 hours! You can watch the video here. In HD, or watch it from the blog (not in HD). We were...

Wednesday, October 31, 2012. A couple of weeks ago, we had a Halloween Party at the Fuqua Business school. It ended up being SO FUN! There was food, a parade (which, the students LOVED) trick-or-treating, and games! Most of the Fuqua kids in their costumes before trick-or-treating. The students were all so eager to pass out candy to all the kids, and the kids were just as excited! I don't think Ruby remembered trick-or-treating last year so she was pretty pumped! Love Ruby's cute smile right here. After ...

Like A Fat Kid Loves Cake. I want movement and not a calm course of existence. I want excitement and danger and the chance to sacrifice myself for my love. I feel in myself a superabundance of energy which finds no outlet in a quiet life. - Leo Tolstoy. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Road Trip to Raleigh for Megan's Wedding. Top left: Uncle Scott, Grandpa Whitt, Uncle Sam, Uncle Steve, and Dallas. He definitely resembles the Whitt's side with the dark hair and brows. Bottom Right: Dallas with his cousin...It wa...

Tuesday, October 1, 2013. The past week or so. A little update on us. 1 Nate is really enjoying Amazon. He feels challenged in his work and he thrives off of that feeling. However, he is busy. And a little envious that I'm still asleep when he leaves the house . That will soon change come February. 4 Lyla started a dance class and she loves it. I'll probably wait another year to put Ruby in. 6 Project De-clutter is still effect but going much more slowly than I would have liked. And it has resulted i...

Sunday, August 26, 2012. Overwhelmed (in a good way :). Lately I have been feeling so blessed and today I really just feel completely overwhelmed by it all. Maybe it's because I watched Saturday's Warrior and that movie always makes me emotional. But I want to write this down and talk about it a little because 1) I would feel ungrateful not doing so, and 2) I don't want to forget this feeling and this knowledge that I have. That knowledge is about:. Heavenly Father's love for me, personally. I'm so grate...

Sunday, December 16, 2012. I have SO much blogging to catch up on but I wanted to document this story before I forgot it. Nate and I were in Virginia this last weekend for his sister Lizzie's graduation. Today we all sang "Angels We Have Heard on High" in her branch (me, Nate, Lizzie, Becca, Mom and Dad Wright). We all stood up on the stand and began our song, while leaving the girls in their seats. We just smiled and kept singing. Then, Lyla thought being up there looked like a lot of fun! Thanksgiving ...

Thursday, May 31, 2012. Beach House Pt. 2: The Beach Pictures. A couple of funny things about our time on the beach. The water was pretty dang cold and any time I tried to go under the waves, I had a hard time holding my breath because it was so cold my automatic reaction was to suck in air. I am pretty sure Ruby ate so much sand. There was always sand around her face and mouth. It was inevitable so I just tried not to think about it. The sand here is sooo nice and soft I could just lay in it all day long.
