Recipe blog by Adrianna Adarme. Yesterday I threw a little paella party for Anthropologie (more to come soon! And after as we were cleaning up, doing a million dishes, we realized we hadn’t seen Amelia in a very long timemaybe an hour? So we started calling her name, we figured maybe she was napping in a strange place. No Amelia. We started going room by room, looking under sheets, looking under beds and again, no Amelia. I went in the lil’ backyard and no Amelia. Click to continue…]. Originally started ...

Recipe blog by Adrianna Adarme. When’s the last time you had a me day? On Sunday I did nearly no work, I put on a mask, which smelled sort of disgusting by the way, binge-watched Empire (just a lil’ obsessed! And then I ate nachos all by myself. It most likely was a sad sight but believe me when I say it was puuuuuure bliss. Perfect for spring days. Perfect for when you have a bunch of fresh eggs that have no plans. And perfect for me days that are all about lazing around and doing absolutely not...1/2 c...

Recipe blog by Adrianna Adarme. New Mexican-Style Sopapillas with Honey. Last week I spent a few days in New Mexico. Whole re-cap coming soon! And one of the best things I ate during my trip were sopapillas. Have you had a sopapilla before? There are different iterations; before last week, the only version I have had were South American and Tex-Mex versions, but the puffy ones you see pictured are vastly different. The best version I had (and I had a lot and in savory contexts too! Most recipes I found u...

Recipe blog by Adrianna Adarme. I’m leaving for Copenhagen on Friday! Yes, I’ll be there for a whole seven days to eat my way through a city I’ve never been to. I’ve always dreamed of going. My dad actually worked in Scandinavia for a big part of my childhood so each time he’d return, he’d have stories about the people, the food, the culture, the politics. It’s a bit of a dream that I’m going and sort of still can’t believe it. Came in the mail and I spotted my homie Nicole Rucker’s. For years, you could...

Fleurdelicious: Cinco de Mayo
http://fleurdelicious-emily.blogspot.com/2010/05/cinco-de-mayo.html
Exploring the culinary deliciousness of New Orleans. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. A few days early this year, and it was still delicious and fun. Superior Grill on St. Charles Avenue has been serving up Mexican food for over 10 years and it still remains as my favorite place for frozen margaritas, chips and salsa, and sizzling hot fajitas. I've never really been a huge fan of enchiladas, and I prefer the tacos. Lunch fajitas with steak and chicken. A small glass of frozen goodness :). Wednesday, May 05, 2010.

Fleurdelicious: A Pleasant Surprise
http://fleurdelicious-emily.blogspot.com/2010/04/pleasant-surprise.html
Exploring the culinary deliciousness of New Orleans. Friday, April 23, 2010. Even though I'm constantly researching new places to eat, I'm always pleasantly surprised when my friends make suggestions of where to go. One of my best friends (and fellow food lover) took some time out of her busy nursing school schedule to slow it down with me over dinner and drinks this week. She suggested Rambla. We drank our own bottle of wine, but don't these specialty drinks sound delish? Friday, April 23, 2010. French ...

Culinary Goddess: May 2011

Tuesday, May 31, 2011. On Friday, I went to a hidden gem near Times Square/Hells Kitchen. It's a year-round indoor farmers market that sells high quality fruits and vegetables at a super super cheap price. People, I mean CHEAP. I went there with my mom and we both filled 2 huge baskets. Guess what the price was.$28! If you're in the area, go here. Anyways, I got some delicious bananas so I decided to try this recipe. Enjoy! Excuse the quality, it was snapped with my iphone}. 1 1/4 cup rolled oats. 2 lbs ...

Sunday, February 13, 2011. I'm a little late but still wanted to link up this week. I love this topic! It's so much fun to see the little things that everyone uses to get fixed up! As far as eye make up goes, I am a Maybeline girl. I don't get the same mascara every time and like to try new ones because I know all of theirs are good. The Colossal Volum' Express is what I'm using now and it's great. I used the Unstoppable eye liner as well. Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting,. Posted by Lee Ann.

http://breadandsilk.blogspot.com/2012/03/crisp-and-college.html
Friday, March 9, 2012. A crisp and THE college. For my friend and her mother who brought me to this campus, I realized that cold weather means a desire for warmth. A desire for warmth means turning on the oven. Turning on the oven means more baked goods. Yes. More baked goods. Sounds good to me. Pear and Cranberry Crisp. Adapted from The Pioneer Woman. 3/4 cup of dried cranberries. Scant 2/3 cup raw or granulated sugar. 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour. 3/4 cup old fashioned oats. 1/3 packed light brown sugar.

A Cozy Home in the Woods
A Cozy Home in the Woods. Not perfect, just cozy. Tuesday, August 20, 2013. I have developed a bit of a reputation in my family for being a little oat crazy. I was overjoyed when I saw the Costco had 10 lb boxes of them for sale. Why do I love oats? My son took this pic of me and my Quaker boyfriend -. So some folks have asked for recipes and wonder, "Hey, Crazy Pants, what do you do with all those oats? You asked, I answer:. Funky Monkey - sliced banana and chocolate chips. But not all at once). Take an...

Once your chalkboard paint is dry it’s all ready to go! Living Room Christmas Decorations. In our living room we continued the gold and red color scheme. There is also a lot of black in that room so I added dark gray ornaments to the tree to tie in the existing decor. I wanted to keep it minimal so besides adding the tree, garland, and stockings to the mantel, I added a few boxwood trees on the end table and a touch of red and gold to the coffee table tray. Easy holiday pillow covers. The poly on the fin...
