The History and Biography of the self-proclaimed King of the Troglodytes. In Search of the Way. In Search of the Way. If one wanted to learn about Buddhism, where should one start? 2nd-Jun-2009 04:30 pm (UTC). If you're willing to primarily dive into Japanese Buddhism, Sources of Japanese Tradition. Is a good read. It has more than just Buddhist stuff in it, being a more general history of Japan, but a large portion of Japanese culture in the time period it covers ( 600-1600AD) is driven by Buddhism.

http://dienvie.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Random musings about nothing. Saturday, October 31, 2009. Okay, I'm a bad kitty-mommy trying to dress up the kitty. He doesn't seem to mind it too much, but unfortunately runs away every time a trick-or-treater comes by. For $3, it was worth the two hours. Also, a picture of the pumpkin that I carved and received several compliments on:. Now to go party with some friends and to try to win the costume contest dressing up as a muppeter and taking Nick along with me :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Random musings about nothing. Monday, August 17, 2009. Simply - it sucks and I have had enough. At least I get a reprive starting Thursday when I'm in the Bay Area to see my big sis (weather.com claims 70's! Compare that to the recent 91 degrees, but feels like 95 with 81% humidity. last week we topped with "feels like 104" with an extreme heat advisory. God bless the makers of Sudafed (with the good stuff - pseudoephedrine)! Friday, August 14, 2009. Ground Zero still has an impact to a person who experi...

Random musings about nothing. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Guess that maybe I should explain myself. Monday, September 7, 2009. It was nice - finally got to see a show on Broadway (though the theater was not exactly ON Broadway) and in it, got to see Times Square (lots of people, may be agoraphobic now.), and get ripped off for NY food that Andrew has cooked better on his grill. I think I have fully experience NYC now. So, to sum up the year, I figured I should do a recap:. Learned what humidity is.

Random musings about nothing. Saturday, June 20, 2009. Okay, in all honesty, he's only in this position because he was working on cleaning his belly - it's just funny to see when he's sitting like this). Thursday, June 18, 2009. Random musings about nothing. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Living up to the blog title. You know that you are out of Seattle and haven't driven in the rain in a long time when you forget where your wiper control is on the steering column. Sir Thomas of Butler is healthy and now has Advantage. and luckily he doesn't really hate me. I wish my orchid here at home would start growing new blossoms. Oh, and I'm an honorary ChemE! I'm sure there's more, but at least I put something up :). Sure, "borrow" my bask...

April 6th, 2010. I asked this question on Twitter, but it's not really the appropriate medium for it. 140 characters just can't hold what's required to answer this question. Frankly, 140 characters couldn't hold the question! So, here it goes, with some additional thoughts:. How would you feel about Internet discussion being described as "masculine" in nature? I find this description of Internet discussion uncomfortable. I am. Perhaps I'm just demonstrating my own thick skin here. I'm not sure. It's not ...
