Last year Thanksgiving was a 3 day long preparation and cooking-fest involving two kitchens, sixteen guests, three cooks, and about 25 dishes spread out over 4 hours of eating. A HAWK FROM A HANDSAW. Saturday, June 12, 2010. SPAIN, PART II. After Barcelona we headed out into the Catalan countryside, to the little town of St. Julia de Llor. Lots of sun, swimming, grilling and reading. And lots of pork. As much Jamón Ibérico. As I could get my hands on. All that history hasn't stopped a bit of modern architecture from popping up. Here is an interesting door to an architecture firm's offices in the center of the old part of town. A rented 17th Century farmhouse. Go back to Spain.

They're a post-rock back from Iceland with some classical elements that are just beautiful. The lead singer of Sigur Ros has come out with a solo album, GO. A little of this, A little of that. Monday, July 18, 2011. We have T-13 hours, and then we'll REALLY be off. K has big intentions of posting every day to let everyone know how it's going. I think that may be a bit enthusiastic, since the majority of the time we'll be at sea, but I won't say it's not possible! Can't wait to share all the memories and amazing sights! K and I were married last weekend, and I feel pretty darn lucky about how everything went. It was completely perfect. I couldn't agree more.
