I spent a lot of years driving to Ft Worth, Denton and Dallas just to catch a show. Well now that there are venues in Arlington they need your support. Come out, check out shows, support bands, buy merch. It takes more than bands and clubs to build a scene. You get back what you put in. A is for Alibi.

Friday, October 24, 2008. Damn the Kids, Save the Empire! This is also before genres got so defined and segregated. It wasn't uncommon to have two punk bands playing with two metal bands. Again, the crowd didn't care as long as the bands were good. Music was music, fun was fun. Now if "metal" bands plays with "hardcore" bands at best you'll have two completely different crowds shuffling in and out all night or at worst you'll get non stop fighting. That is if anyone even bothers to show up. A is for Alibi.

To everyone who stood outside waiting for their friends bands. Whatever. YOU missed out. We've been at this for a few years now and we're not gonna compromise what we enjoy playing just to get a bigger reaction at shows. I'm probably pissing in the wind right now but sometimes you just need to vent. A is for Alibi.
