If you follow my blog, more than likely you know how much I love up-and-coming drivers. More especially, I love to get the word out there when they're from Alabama. This one is even sweeter because she is a young lady. We need more women drivers in racing to actually break through and make it to the top! Quote credits: AL.com article. Good luck, Ms. Long. Patti's Peach Basket: July 2012
http://pattispeachbasket.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Peaches and Cream and a Little Southern Hospitality. Rules of the South. Monday, July 16, 2012. My Husband to the Rescue. Sometimes it only takes a little pressure washing and paint to bring a piece of furniture back to life. My mother in law had this cute child's bench in her back yard but over the years it had weathered. Each time my grand daughter sat in it, dirt and grime would get all over her clothes. (Drum Roll). My husband to the rescue! This is a BEFORE Picture. Would you want to sit on that?

Peaches and Cream and a Little Southern Hospitality. Rules of the South. Sunday, January 22, 2012. My husband has always talked about one of his favorite desserts when he was a child was butter roll pie. One weekend while visiting his mother, she made a butter roll pie. Since I have always heard about this famous pie, I wanted to watch and learn how to make it. The first step is to make the dough like biscuits and roll it out. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar and lots of butter! Roll it up and slice. Middot; ...

Peaches and Cream and a Little Southern Hospitality. Rules of the South. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Recently my husband and I visited his mother who lives in Alabama. She is 83 years old and still works in her yard. I love garden art and she has so many pieces tastefully displayed. I even got some great ideas to incorporate in my backyard. This is the gate that enters into the backyard. This is the little garden that you walk past as you approach the gate. Do you see the bird houses? I hope you enjoyed th...

Patti's Peach Basket: September 2012
http://pattispeachbasket.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Peaches and Cream and a Little Southern Hospitality. Rules of the South. Sunday, September 16, 2012. Since school started back I haven't much time to work on any projects. The first few weeks of school are always very hectic. Things are calming down now and I have been able to complete a few things. This is my latest:. I have noticed that vintage book displays are very popular right now. I have seen them in lots of gift shops and they are kind of pricey for old torn books so I decided to make my own.

Peaches and Cream and a Little Southern Hospitality. Rules of the South. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Refurbished Bar Stools and Another Initial. This past fall when my husband had a roof installed over our deck, he added something else to the railing that was very creative and useful. He added a small bar shelf that extends all around the deck. Now all we needed were a couple of stools. We already had some that were in pretty bad shape so I got out the old trusty paint brush. Now to duplicate it. So many DIY...

Peaches and Cream and a Little Southern Hospitality. Rules of the South. Sunday, April 22, 2012. It has been several weeks since I have updated my blog. We have been working on several more projects that I will post about when they are finished. In the meantime, I want to show you something wonderful that my neighbor did to her front stairway. We have this fun thing between us that whenever we do something in each of our homes, we have a BIG REVEAL! I was so surprised. Isn't is beautiful! It is so chic.

Wheeler-isms: November 2009

Thursday, November 19, 2009. As I mentioned in my last post, Lucy's cheerleading. Squad took home second place at the Mid-State Competition two weeks ago and as a parent I was SUPER proud of all of the girls. These ten girls have been through so much and totally deserved the honor of second place. However, the week after that competition they really stepped it up. The coaches worked extra hard with them, changed a few things and at the UCA. And I might have cried just a little bit! Shoes at my parents ho...
