Exploration, Ideas, Culture, Discovery. Griffin and Tyrrell on Meaning, Mysticism and Mental Health. January 22, 2013 Filed under: Ideas. While in England recently I had the opportunity to meet with psychologists Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell – the originators of the Human Givens. School of psychotherapy. At the core of their approach is the idea that humans, like all organic beings, come into this world with a set of needs. If those needs are met in balance, it is not possible to be mentally ill. Once yo...

Mossery: The drawings of Eugene Morozov
http://mossery.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-drawings-of-eugene-morozov.html
Thursday, November 22, 2012. The drawings of Eugene Morozov. I first came across the drawings of Dyolten (Eugene Morozov) through a Livejournal Moleskine community. He has kindly given permission for me to reproduce some of his art here. I could eulogise so much but I want to let the drawings speak for themselves - let me just say they've been my desktop backgrounds for months. A comparison showing how the works progress through the addition of colour. You can see the artist's Flickr here. Where I grew up.

That's it. Back to Kenya. Your birthday is already over there, due to that time zone thing. May 20, 2008 at 3:40 AM. Zoom - Errol Morris.

Wednesday, July 15, 2015. I'm having another baby in January. The difference between this pregnancy and my first one is already pretty drastic. The only thing that's the same is the nausea. God, I had forgotten how absolutely awful that is - not being able to eat anything or smell food or open the fridge without gagging. I hate, hate, hate it. But I know it could be worse so I can't complain too much, I'm not hospitalised or actually vomiting. Too much mess, not enough space in my house, and too thin wal...
