Artists Escape!: Adventure day!
http://artistsescape.blogspot.com/2009/05/adventure-day.html
Two artists escape to New Zealand to live in the land of the long white cloud. Sunday, May 31, 2009. It's "winter" here in Wellington which means one thing in particular: rain. It's chilly but not freezing - not very winter-y by American standards. Instead it is the wet and cloudy season, which means wearing layers of wool, ducking under awnings through town, and saying hello to the sunshine in a big way when he makes his appearance. I hear no raindrops for the first time in what must be two weeks. By th...

Artists Escape!: October 2009
http://artistsescape.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Two artists escape to New Zealand to live in the land of the long white cloud. Monday, October 5, 2009. It's been a year? Yes It has. It has been a year since we landed on the other side of the world, settled into life on an island, and it's been a year since having real American food. And the real American food bit is especially depressing because I'm craving it. BECAUSE. Our plan, if you want to be in on the secret, goes like this. Shhh don't tell anyone*. Wonder what the next year will bring.

Artists Escape!: October 2008
http://artistsescape.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Two artists escape to New Zealand to live in the land of the long white cloud. Thursday, October 2, 2008. Sorry about the non-fastidious blogging, but we've been very busy! Two weeks ago, we were job hunting. It didn't take long for us to score work, in fact both of us had job offers in hand after our first interviews. We were eating bread and ramen noodles for a while, until our first paycheck. PAY DAY! So yeah, everything is going really well here. We are having such a fantastic time! Because nearly ev...

Artists Escape!: March 2009
http://artistsescape.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Two artists escape to New Zealand to live in the land of the long white cloud. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Birthday road trip to Napier, in pictures (with some captions). The town of Napier had a big earthquake earlier in the century, and everything was rebuilt during the age of Art Deco. This funky architecture is its main tourist attraction. I didn't actually get many photos of the buildings, but here's one:. Then I got distracted with the pretty fountain. And the plants, of course. Do you still see them?

The Eoin Zone: April Adventures, Part 3
http://theeoinzone.blogspot.com/2009/05/april-adventures-part-3.html
Monday, May 18, 2009. April Adventures, Part 3. The final segment of our April Adventures! Wellington - Taupo - Rotorua. We got away from Wellington later than intended and started the five hour drive to Taupo, where I was planning on doing an awesome 15,000 foot skydive! It never happened. It rained all three days. Fortunately rain wasn't enough to ruin our good time in Rotorua. Sunday we went to quiz night at Hennessey's, the Irish pub Alexa and I first went to back in September. In honor of Wellin...

The Eoin Zone: June 2009
http://theeoinzone.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 22, 2009. It's been a while, but there hasn't been too much to report on. In other news, I've acquired a very part-time job, just doing odd work around Plunket, a child care agency's office for a few hours every week. It's not much, but it's enough to pay the rent and keep me floating for the next month Sometime in late July we'll be heading off to Australia for a trip from Cairns to Sydney and then we'll be back in the States in mid-late August. Monday, June 1, 2009. We're back from Fiji!

The Eoin Zone: September 2008
http://theeoinzone.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. Thanks for reminding me to get my absentee ballot. Wrong answer, I guess. He suddenly became all serious and went off on a tirade about how great Bush is, and how he is a bright ray of hope for the world, and how all the presidents, prime ministers, kings, and princes of all the countries of the world wished Bush would stay in power for at least ten more years (BARF! Since they had such a great relationship with him. Ummmm. what? I was going to post some pictures, but the inte...

The Eoin Zone: February 2009
http://theeoinzone.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 20, 2009. Most boring entry ever. So it seems I've once again allowed a considerable time of chunk to wiz by without updating my blog. Two main factors contributed to this: 1) I've been working a metric shit ton and 2) not really much blog-worthy has happened since my bungy. For the past four weeks I've worked 45 hours, and two of those weeks only had one day off. Lame. I haven't had two days off in a row since my bungy. After a month of unsuccessful job-hunting she finally broke down an...
