July 16 - 17, 2010. The sun sets from our bivy on the summit of Mt Buckner. An interesting, non-North Face way to climb Buckner. The line in red shows our ascent route through Horseshoe Basin and the descent in green down the pleasant and beautiful Sahale Arm. From Cascade Pass toward Horseshoe Basin. Sucking down some water before our short 'swchack through the cliff bands. The appeal of this basin are the numerous waterfalls, which was. Reminiscent of places in New Zealand. Both trips done this summer.

British Columbia, Canada. July 28 - 30, 2010. Mt Gimli, crown-jewel of the Valhallas reflected in Mulvey Lake. So why do I say the next phase of life? After a few years of health complications Jill heard the words from her oncologist that she's been waiting for: Go forth, and produce children. And that we did, by means of a dirty motel room in Revelstoke. Yes, the next phase of life is almost upon me - real job, babies, a mortgage etc. Luckily I can find refuge in a place like Canada. Time to get up Jill.

We spent most of our time in the Bugs enjoying our time around camp, so I decided to dedicate a page for general pictures. For Jill and I, our trip to Canada was clearly the highlight of our summer. Of note, was the fact that during our time in the Bugs an egg was being fertilized in Jill's lower abdomen! No trips next year. All photos by John. Dave arrives at the lake. The summit ridge (above) of Lichtenburg was blocked by cornices. Jake enjoys the snow. Skinning up McCausland. Lichtenburg Mt is pictured in the background. Keen eyes will notice Highway 2 on the right side of the frame.
