http://lonestarstateknitter.blogspot.com/2012/09/rockinankle-boots-from-easy-spirit.html
Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Rockin’Ankle Boots from Easy Spirit. Can I just say Who Knew? Who knew Easy Spirit would have rockin’ ankle boots? I didn’t expect it. I’ve shopped there for over 10 years and I’ve mostly stuck to the mules that work for me. I received these boots to evaluate and when I opened the box, I thought “What? Then my second thought was “I’m not going to be able to wear these”. They also rock pair of skinny jeans! When a girl has to supervise the Hubs doing yard work. Rockin’An...

Knitting Up The Road: Gorilla Casserole
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2013/12/gorilla-casserole.html
Saturday, December 7, 2013. About 40 years ago one of the home and food magazines had a recipe they called something like "Tomato, Beef and Pasta Casserole". The write-up described it as making enough to feed 12 hungry gorillas. 2 1/2 lbs ground meat. 2 Tbs vegetable oil. 2 cups chopped onions (2 large). 2 cups chopped celery (3 ribs). 1 1/2 cups grated carrots (3 large). 4 lbs tomatoes chopped or equivalent in canned tomatoes (two 2lb.3oz. cans Italian-style). 1 1/2 tsp oregano. 1 tsp garlic powder.

Knitting Up The Road: June 2012
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow. Corrected title: Hair Yesterday, Gone Today. Back to the "wash'n wear" styles that are so practical for my lifestyle. Now I can get back to knitting. Friday, June 1, 2012. Two years of on and off boring knitting is finally finished! Of course the wool and cotton blend yarn is too heavy and warm for Albuquerque summers. It fits the way I wanted it to, a fitted sweatshirt, and will be cozy in winter weather. Knitting Up The Road: January 2013
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 4, 2013. This article was written by Dean Rippetoe of Midland, Texas. He expressed my feelings of forecasting perfectly. Trained weather forecasters can't even tell us exactly what is happening with the weather! Someone once said, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your long range plans”. We could also be a week away from a huge success in life, Our ship may be docking right now. The greatest year we have ever experienced may be 2013. Thomas Edison said when he invented the phonogra...

Knitting Up The Road: Changement Shawlette Finished
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2013/11/changement-shawlette-finished.html
Saturday, November 16, 2013. I joined a Knit-A-Long for a shawlette/scarf and managed to get it finished with the rest of the group. My Changement Shawlette was knit with Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine sock weight yarn on size 6 lace needles. There are 280 silver lined clear beads in the lace part. Today is very windy so we have been limited on photo ops. Half time of the UT-OSU game seemed like the time to get out. Now, back to crying over the UT performance. Knitting Up The Road: August 2012
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 16, 2012. I saw a post on Ravelry for a yarn giveaway to promote a new Etsy shop. The colors of the sock yarns were outstanding! Of course I want to win yarn but I also have bookmarked this shop for yarn purchases. Sunday, August 12, 2012. That Wouldn't Be Cricket. A simple phrase but was totally foreign to a late-thirties woman when Ron spoke those words. She had asked a question and that was Ron's response. After a pause she commented that she didn't know Cricket. Sunday, August 5, 2012.
