Ryan McGrath: Back to Zero
http://ryanmcgrath.blogspot.com/2012/04/back-to-zero.html
Tuesday, April 17, 2012. All I have to say is, thank FSM that I wasn't running in Boston yesterday. I still had to swim, so I went down around 4:30, and somehow muddled through an hour of swimming before Alyssa got home from her weekend of running with the Rev3 Run Across America group. In all, a cool weekend to get to kick it with Z, watch some races, get in some training. #goodtimes. The radio show - The Runaround on ESPN - is a radio show created and produced by my friends at Running Maryland.

MAKE IT HAPPEN: Mighty Mite RR
http://damieroberts.blogspot.com/2015/07/mighty-mite-rr.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Another little race happened. The competition was quite good for a small local race. My lead up to this race seemed okay. I feel. On the up and up with training and life balance in general, and that is great. Wattie Ink Race Kit, Powerbar nutrition, ISM Adamo Road- perfect race set up. I love my mtn bike guys that show up to the triathlon on their cross bikes and still crush the bike course. So, on to the marathon. 8 weeks. You dont need to do Kona to be a badass! LOS LOCOS TRIATH...

Ironman 70.3 St. George. To say that I’m completely happy with how my race went in St. George, Utah wouldn’t be true. A couple days/weeks post-race is a roller coaster of feelings. Overall, I crossed the finish line, which was priority #1, but the end result wasn’t quite what I was hoping for. Yes, this was my first race of the year on a horribly difficult course. As Alyssa. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful race setting! These are the people that make the sport work! We got there just in time to see...

Liberty & Lifestyle Change. It’s hard to believe it’s already been one month since my last race. Liberty Half proved to be a major tipping point in figuring out some nutritional/gut issues that I’ve been experiencing for quite a while. But before getting into that, here’s a brief race report. Bike: Despite wet conditions again this year, I managed to bike seven minutes faster that last year. Nutrition was good, and I had plenty in the tank throughout the whole ride. Any why a minion image for this post?

Finding Kona: Interview with Jennifer Wentzel: Prospective IM Athlete
http://findingkona.blogspot.com/2015/05/interview-with-jennifer-wentzel.html
The every day journey toward making a dream come true. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Interview with Jennifer Wentzel: Prospective IM Athlete. When I finally met Jen in March at our team camp I discovered that she is also opposite of me in many regards. She is soft spoken and laid back to my more boisterous, demanding nature. She is fun, and quick to smile. She never backed down from a challenge or looked in the least bit flustered (unlike myself who cried 3 times in the first hard workout.). Last year we real...

MAKE IT HAPPEN: October 2014
http://damieroberts.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. 15 Months of Diggies. The problem with skipping a few blog posts is that I feel paralyzed when I return as to what to write! I have written a dozen blog posts in my head, but they never made it to the keyboard. So- life continues to turn. ISLA, work, life, training, travel, ISLA! We are having tons of fun doing activities and going on playdates. Isla is crazy social, and I am always amazed at how she will just go up to other kids and engage, even older kids. Mostly, I look forw...

Thursday, March 26, 2015. This sport is full of awesome people. But, as he has a baby on the way, that didn't make much since for us to make this grand plan for him to travel (although he was willing! And I just can't make a good trip to Tucson right now. Funny how when you are serious about getting stuff done, doors open for you. Help came to me in the form of. Monday, March 23, 2015. 20 months later, I can think of three significant changes. 1. I am hoping for a break in the weather in less than 50 days. That may be too much to ask, and if it is hot for the marathon.well, that is what I get for signing up for one early in the fall. I know better! The rest of the weekend has looked like normal.aka.CRAZY! Tuesday, July 21, 2015. So, yes.it was just a slow ...

MAKE IT HAPPEN: May 2015
http://damieroberts.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 23, 2015. Nothing much going on around here. Memphis is having beautiful weather, and we are enjoying good family time. My current view while blogging- Isla is struggling to nap on the we ekends at home, so I d on't even waste my t im e anymore and I just stick h er in the car. Once she is asleep, I pull into the driveway and get on the computer to work or play. You sometimes just have to be creative! And I miss races. So, there you go. If I miss it, that is easily remedied. One of Isla's d...
