Bricks from the Brick Factory: April 2010
http://bricksfromthebrickfactory.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 2, 2010. Hands on heart, this is the Best! One of my favorite things I've seen lately. since the last video I posted! Believe it or not, that's really Pharrel Williams in the video (for my 40 and older readers, he's a member of the musical combo "The Neptunes" which is in the hip hop section of your local record store). The director of the video is Mr. Oizo, who's a genial French man with a perchance for weird electronica. Here's a sample of his music on MySpace:. WHERE'S THE MONEY GEORGE?

Bricks from the Brick Factory: Levi's Print Workshop Part 2
http://bricksfromthebrickfactory.blogspot.com/2010/08/levis-print-workshop-part-2.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. Levi's Print Workshop Part 2. While I was creating the type poster detailed in the last entry about my Sunday afternoon at the Levi's free open print workshop on Valencia @ 17th here in San Francisco, I was able to have an illustration of mine made into a silk screen print: a two color version and a single color one. The one sunny day this week and I'm indoors most of the day. but, hey, it was well worth it! They were really booked with a bunch of folks doing t shirts, wedding pr...

Bricks from the Brick Factory: July 2010
http://bricksfromthebrickfactory.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 2, 2010. Listening to Terry Gross on NPR's Fresh Air the other day, I heard the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is just plain wrecking the whole ecology of the wild life of that area. for a very long time! Let alone all the folks who live there and depend on a living from working in the oceans. So much to say.and to be done.about this catastrophe, so I was compelled to draw and design this:. Bricks from the Brick Factory: December 2009
http://bricksfromthebrickfactory.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 11, 2009. Opening shindig for the PFS mural last night. Wish all of you could have made it, but Charlie, Eric, Shorey, and everyone else at Pacific Foundation Services sure did pull off a great reception last night. We already had an unveiling of the mural when the scaffolds came down, but last night was the first time many friends of mine were able to see the mural. Click on the image above to see it better! Afterwards, folks came over to our apartment and kept the party going.

Bricks from the Brick Factory: February 2010
http://bricksfromthebrickfactory.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. Korla Pandit: "The Grandfather of Exotica". The trick of holding down the keys with the right hand on the top keyboard so he can play a couple of notes on the lower one is just simply beautiful! Supposedly he wasn't Indian but African American and he had the very first all music program on American TV in its infancy. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The image for this komik came to my head. Bricks from the Brick Factory: A tree falls in Japantown
http://bricksfromthebrickfactory.blogspot.com/2011/04/tree-falls-in-japantown.html
Saturday, April 23, 2011. A tree falls in Japantown. Found half a fallen tree on our front steps first thing in the morning. Nothing broke - nobody injured.so, I thought it was beautiful in a poetic sort of way. Impressed that the City came before 11am to clear it all up! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
