Tims Thoughts, Rants, and Other Random Things. Jan 7th, 2009 at 9:39 AM. While I don't really believe all the "LJ is going to close" drama brought about by yesterday's sudden layoffs (I do feel for those laid off with such lack of notice or severance, though - my thoughts go out to you all! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out this post. LJ entry backup for Windows. LJ entry backup for Mac OS X. Tim's updated version of fotoup.pl. That file should be in your UNIX home directory. If y...

Three on Sunday - marlborobell
http://marlborobell.livejournal.com/28385.html
A rare Alistair post because three vignettes have been bubbling through my head since yesterday. 1) JJ understands that when somebody apologizes to you, you should forgive them. So if I do something stupid (and it happens too often, like saying I'll get him some apple juice and then forgetting), I'll say sorry to him, and he'll say "You're forgiven". That's very appealing. JJ: "Sorry. You're forgiven.". Daddy: "JJ, you only say 'you're forgiven' when somebody says sorry to you.". I still don't know why t...

and much fun was had by all! Despite a last-minute panic about teekup…: kadnkadnk

Co-workers discussing the weekend's Patriots game. And much fun was had by all! Despite a last-minute panic. Having a make-up childbirth class, the baby shower went off without a hitch! Mostly due to the planning and execution by. And, of course, the fearless mission by. And ep. to get dip. Those dips. :). I thought nobody could match your record three diaper genies as gifts at one shower, but miss. Post a new comment. Anonymous comments are disabled in this journal. Troy B. Thompsons Journal. Troy B. Thompson Photography. Daedal Creations, Inc. Tower hill botanic garden. 22 July 2011 @ 08:35 pm. A Week in Acadia. Every year we go somewhere for our anniversary, and this year we decided to return to Acadia National Park. Our first trip together was to Acadia, and we went there again on our honeymoon. On our honeymoon, we hiked 10 peaks in a week, but we weren't planning on duplicating that goal with Naomi in tow. No, Mommy, I'm wet! And used the word "everywhere!

There once was an ugly duckling. - Becca the Brits Blog. There once was an ugly duckling. Apr 16th, 2008 09:09 am. Once upon a time JJ was a baby. He got very attached to a toy duck with a rattle inside. This is what it looked like. JJ found the back-up the other day in a box in Abbys room. Is this my ducky? Well, it isnt your ducky JJ. Its what your ducky used to look like. It rattles like my ducky! The fur is no longer fluffy and yellow, but grey and matted. All in all, its a sorry-looking specimen.

Novel Pet Peeves - Justin's Journal
http://jgreeno.livejournal.com/236361.html
Sat, Oct. 24th, 2009, 09:40 am. I do a lot of reading and I'm generally a mystery/crime/lawyer novel person. When I find an author I like, particularly one that writes a series one character, I usually consume that author's library quickly. Get a bit more creative or something. It's the future and you can make-up any cool device you want. And it never sticks for everyday phone calls cause nobody really wants to stand by the phone and watch the other person just stand there and talk to them. There's r...

Confessions of a Barely Adequate Mother. Oct 6th, 2008. How do you remove melted candle wax from wall-to-wall carpet? Posted at 02:27 pm. Jun 27th, 2008. Folks who do a lot of cooking: what kind of cookware do you use? Do you like it? What we have right now is Farberware, and while it's not the fanciest, it's worked pretty well for us, though it tends to stain on the outside. The one fancy fry pan we have is, I believe, Calphalon, and is non-stick (a must for a fry pan, IMHO). Posted at 08:40 am. The Mos...
