Pictured at right are the first three sculptures in the series during the clay sculpting process. Each sculpture is visualized from life by the artist. Sometimes the artist will use the services of a live model to begin the process, sometimes a combination of live model and sketches will be utilized. A block of clay shaped in the raw form of the final pose begins the process. Through many hours of carving and refinement, the final image begins to take form.
