Traveling the World Slowly. Birding Along the Way. Canada / Nova Scotia. N 2016 we set out to slowly explore the world with no particular destination in mind. Somewhere in the realm of nomads, vagabonds and slow travelers you will find us and our approach to travel. We are not thrill seekers nor backpackers but we do want to experience life to the fullest by getting to know the people, the natural surroundings, the history and the cultures that combine to make a community. Traveling the World Slowly. Birding Along the Way. Canada / Nova Scotia. It has been our experience that there are very few bad places for birding in Costa Rica. Every town, village, beach and side road seems to offer up some wonderful sightings. Below are just a few of the places we have enjoyed. Current Costa Rica bird count: 270. Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano. We were so excited. We have also stayed near the small town of Nuevo Arenal on the eastern end of the lake and enjoyed excellent birding.
