I didn't tell the kids where we were headed, but they were very excited when they finally discovered what we were doing. There was only two headsets and lucky Kari got to where one of them. Braden and Emmalynn just got earplugs. We were able to talk to our pilot and "co-pilot" throughout the trip. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. I know what you are thinking. "Is this a festival where a bunch of rednecks walk around with mullets! No But I thought the same thing when I heard about the festival. Apparently it is a type of fish. And like any festival it is packed full of rides, games, and food. We got to try "gator-on-a-stick". The bite I took didn't have too much meat, and so it just tasted a lot like fried foods. Jon said it did have a different taste, and it wasn't too bad. Posted by Melanie Bassett.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Jaedon turned 7 on the 17th. The kid was so excited that he went to bed way late and then was up at 6am! The one thing that he said he wanted was a CuddleUppet, an alligator. You would think it would be some kind of awesome toy or something that would be at the top of his list, but no, a blanket that is a puppet. We love the kid though.
