How was your day, Ann? Thoughts from a girl. Monday, May 11, 2009. Day 3, Part 2. We got to COTN and unloaded all our stuff, saw where we'd be staying, got acquainted. It's pretty nice, right? Our host Henry gathered us all up and he and Stephen gave us some cultural info, tried to teach us a few phrases in the local language of Chichewa (none of which I ever learned), and generally tried to find out if we were all ok. We were, and we were so excited! Stephen and Henry teaching us a song in Chichewa.

With Jessie and my dad and co. (I highly recommend buying the ticket. How was your day, Ann? Thoughts from a girl. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Shot Day, Part 2. Well, today I finished up the shots. Hepatitis A booster and TDAP (aka tetanus). Not much really happened. My left arm was a little sore, but nowhere near the typhoid level of soreness. Just wanted to let you know that if you were planning on trying to infect me with one of these diseases, don't waste your time, I'm covered. I could point you in the direction of some people who aren't, though. ;). 2 weeks to go!

Wednesday, September 12, 2012. 125 gm unsalted butter (softened). 300 gm caster sugar. 1 tsp vanilla essence. 250 gm self raising flour. 20 gm cocoa powder. 2 tbsp red colouring (I used Fortuna Red). 1 tsp baking soda. 1 tsp apple cider vinegar. 1 Greased and line 2 x 9" baking pan.
