Life in La La's Land: A New Year, A New Room!
http://lifeinlalasland.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-new-year-new-room.html
Saturday, January 4, 2014. A New Year, A New Room! But for all the space we do have, we weren't using it properly. I'm a firm believer in functionality and purpose - it's not the size of the space, but how you use it that makes the difference. Having said that, I am probably IKEA's dream consumer. Here is a rough sketch of our downstairs that I made through the free online program, Floorplanner. So things got shifted around. We sold off one of the tables and chairs, moved the dining set from the stud...

Life in La La's Land: Greatest Hits
http://lifeinlalasland.blogspot.com/p/greatest-hits.html
I've been blogging since 2007 so if you're new here, you've got a lot to catch up on. I'll give you the Cliff Notes version to get you up to speed. I started it all off here. By swearing off all men for six months. I blame this guy. For a lot of the frustration and agony I had while single and dating. I used to drink and party A LOT and struggled balancing the working-partying lifestyle. I traveled to Europe with a friend of mine from high school and we had the ultimate Eurotrip. I dated some REAL winners.

Homemade Laundry Detergent
http://red-dirt-mama.com/sample-page/homemade-laundry-detergent
BBQ Pork and Polly’s Potato Salad. Donna’s Red Gravy. Mesh Bath Toy Bag. Osnaburg Wrap for Babywearing. October 5, 2011. My soul sister Heather over at Another Ten Miles. Recently shared her adventures making laundry soap and dishwashing detergent. It’s been a wee-bit of a money stretching week and I am ALWAYS looking to save a dollar here or there! I’ve heard about homemade laundry detergent before, but I have to share with you a few of my fears/prejudices/pre-conceived notions about homemade soap:.

Jenna + Jason | AllisonJeanPhoto
https://allisonjeanphoto.wordpress.com/2009/12/23/jenna-jason
It’s been so much fun getting to know Jenna and Jason! Jenna is my sister’s neighbor’s sister. (Don’t you love those random connections? We met about a month ago to talk about what they’re looking for in a photographer and gave me details on their wedding, and I’ve been so pumped for this session ever since. They are amazing, down to earth people who are so stoked to be marrying each other after a very long time coming. Jason’s kids are adorable, and today was just so easy! Feed for this Entry. I LOVE: j...

Ready or not. | AllisonJeanPhoto
https://allisonjeanphoto.wordpress.com/2010/02/05/ready-or-not
I’m limiting myself and hurting myself so deeply because of this fear. And I’m ready to get rid of it. I’m doing it. I’m starting this project I’ve been dreaming of for way too long. I had a whole bunch of rules and guidelines for myself, but heck. Screw it! I’m sick of regulating myself and not allowing myself the freedom to just experiment and learn and (heaven forbid) FAIL! I love this. Be looking out for my first project. I have a ballin’ idea. Here I go. Ready or not. Feed for this Entry. I BELIEVE:...

Casa del Arnold: July 2011
http://casadelarnold.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 29, 2011. Today I took my last final exam and completed my master's program. Hallelujah! I will walk in December since TCU does not have an August ceremony. To be honest, I am a little sad it's over. I really enjoyed being a student again despite the stress. Where do I go from here? Joe will be in grad school for at least the next two years, so I need to find something to keep my mind occupied. Maybe more blogging? Major cheese (and no makeup. sorry.). Tuesday, July 26, 2011. But I didn't th...

Casa del Arnold: February 2012
http://casadelarnold.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 4, 2012. Like I said in my previous post, when I found Dayme's in Midlothian and realized what a great deal it was and recruited a willing partner, I really didn't have any excuse not to give it a go. I'm now 12 classes in, and I'm hooked. Joe is even going and loving it (and he's actually pretty good, too! If you are considering giving hot power yoga a go, here's my humble advice:. That's me, middle-right, in the black racer back! A hand towel. You will need it to wipe the sweat o...

Casa del Arnold: August 2011
http://casadelarnold.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Here's hoping for continued harmony in my EIGHTH year teaching sophomore English. Joe is now working on his MBA at TCU, which gives me a break from football some nights (I love football, but it's mainly just college teams I care about). Since I'm done with academia for now, I've filled the void with A Game of Thrones. It is a set of books. And for the record, just because I make the occasional baby item for a family member or friend does not mean I am hopelessly overcome with ...
