The idea is a bridge like structure that is technically not a bridge but is metaphoric in that it connects two parts of a riverbank, the one closed of end signifies the lonely self-absorbed woman. The strength would be the symbolism behind the idea of the design.

Before taking a stair to the 1st level, there is darker room where there is little light can come in but when walking up the stair, the space quality changes repidly from dark room to very bright room. This is because the stair located in the courtyard where there is a big opening. As the visitor enter the building, they will see the sculpture and the skylight above it. Same techniques, textures and etc. Only difference is as obviouse, it shows a Three Dimensional view of the concept. The section shows the Cross Cut. Of the two techniques. DUTCH PAINTER - PAINTING. This is the site plan I have hand-drawn in the image, it makes it easier to comprehend how I blend the new building into the site. The use of natural light is very important to a gallery, in addition, as this gallery mainly exhibits metallic sculptures which are even more strict with illumination. The building I designed is in a narrow and long shape. This image shows the information and idea I have referred from other sources in order to design my building. Precedent Study 2 (Project 3).
