Tuesday, March 3, 2009. I found out today that I won an Apple iTouch from the T-shirt contest I entered last month. I am sooo excited! I hope to get it some time this month. I had a choice between a Wii and an iTouch. And since I already have a Wii, the iTouch was my choice. And a kicker is, they may actually produce some of my designs! The cat is back. Friday, April 11, 2014. Why We Get Hungry. The New Yorker dives into. A recent study about what makes people hungry and discovered that hunger has very little to due with our need for food. The main takeaway is that hunger is often triggered by our environment. We see a commercial for food, or a bag of chips on the counter. We eat snacks while watching TV, so watching TV makes us want a snack. Also interesting is the diminishing returns we get from pleasurable food. I like this . May 2, 2014 at 8:48 PM.

Upon learning of a terrible tragedy that happened very recently, I knew I wanted to make something handmade for my friend/s who have lost so much. I did some research and have learned that red poppies symbolize grief during wartime. I figure this is the only appropriate place to start from. I've decided to nix the red watercolor idea. I used 'torn petals' instead. I'm sending this tomorrow with a prayer.

Sunday, July 13, 2014. Driving Cross Country With Cats. We bought the biggest soft crate. We could fit in the back seat of our Honda Civic. With the soft crate we could collapse the top when loading and unloading then enlarge it again once the cats where in the car. The soft crate also had entry flaps on the top and sides so we could reach in and pet the cats or give them water, food, or a litter box when needed. Along with the cats, we put food and water in the crate as well as a cardboard Scratcher.

The first is of my original kickball team - Crazy Kickers (which I hope we put back together again! The other two are logos for the other teams I have been on.
