Harry Potter poetry jam session. To take a page from Blair and Brandan, this post is about Christine’s Adventures in Cooking! Today’s chapter: Taverna salad. Yesterday, the lovely Vanessa went to the little deli downstairs in our office building and came back with a Taverna salad. Murphy’s Deli is usually pretty gross, but this Taverna salad was DELICIOUS. Murphy’s Taverna salad, according to the label:. Christine’s Taverna salad:. 1/3 to 1/2 large tomato. 1/3 to 1/2 red onion. 1 tablespoon feta cheese.

June 24, 2010. In my office’s supplies room, a dry erase board hangs on the wall behind our office services manager’s desk. The original intent of this board was for her to jot down things she needed to do. However, it has been put to a much better use — the Dry Erase Dog Board. Lots of people in our office have dogs, and Derrick, our IT guy, took it upon himself to draw some people’s doggies on the dry erase board. He promised a long time ago to do Henry, so I gave him this picture. June 6, 2010. May 1:...

Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letterbox. This letterbox is mine, and not in any way the letterbox (or opinions) of any other persons or organizations. Posted by frazyah in Uncategorized. I am 26. I promise that I will have some thoughts on this as soon as I both a) sober up, and b) force those thoughts to coalesce. But for now, I’ll just leave you basking in the word “coalesce.”. Leave it to you to use the word “coalesce” when you’re drunk. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Dogtoberfest! | Cogitating Christine

Laquo; Scott Westerfeld, the Texas Book Festival, and the creation of Uglies and Leviathan. This past Saturday was Dogtoberfest at the Domain. It’s exactly what it sounds like — it’s a huge doggie festival with vendors for dog food, volunteer opportunities, boarding houses, etc. Most importantly, however, there was a costume contest sponsored by KXAN and judged by Jim Spencer, a meteorologist from KXAN. And they had weiner dog races! Check out this little lady:. Milton’s on the left:. All the dogs made m...

Laquo; Obligatory thankful post. From Grooming to Gear Shift. Blair and Schex flew in from Albuquerque to surprise Blair’s mom, so I got to see them too! I drove out to Plano at 10:30 at night after Chris and Greg left and we caught up for a few hours. Yayness! I fully expect to blog much more now that I have received a wonderful shiny camera for Christmas. YAY! Of course the first thing I took a picture of is my dog. Gotta document the cute, right? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Andrew gave me an...

Laquo; Dry Erase Henry. Jorge Frosty diabetes kid. Worthy of repeat readings. I once dated a guy who never understood why I would read certain books over and over again. “You already know what happens,” he’d say. “Aren’t you just wasting your time? 8220;Well, didn’t you catch all that the first time around? 8221; he would say. 8220;No,” I would reply, “No one can catch everything the first time around, and if you think you can, you’re delusional.”. 8220;I catch everything,” he would say. So many times, a...

Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letterbox. This letterbox is mine, and not in any way the letterbox (or opinions) of any other persons or organizations. Posted by frazyah in Uncategorized. I have been angrier than usual lately. No idea why, but I nearly lost it over a sandwich. Really bothers me now. In other news, life is complicated. Lee Family Life: Busch Gardens
http://abfamilee.blogspot.com/2012/07/busch-gardens.html
Monday, July 16, 2012. We planned to use our free military passes to Busch Gardens on Saturday. Unfortunately, we picked the worst day possible to go. But we had fun anyway. The day began with Noah waking up and coming in our room. Brett isn't often home in the morning when the kids wake up, so they love to play when he is. Noah was taking the opportunity to head butt Brett. Please excuse my pregnant-ness. I was so swollen from then heat and humidity it isn't even funny. Then we walked to the Italy area,...

Lee Family Life: December 2011
http://abfamilee.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 31, 2011. I hope this is the start of more blogging in the year to come. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before? Lived through a tsunami, had my husband save some lives, and started a business on Etsy. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Not entirely, although I did much better with the exercise program than I usually do. Did anyone close to you give birth? Did anyone close to you die? What countries did you visit? Not seeing my...

Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Once There Was A Snowman. There was actually a snow day here in Brookings a few weeks ago, so we went driving up the river in search of enough snow to play in. We found a really small area that was perfect for us. Kennedy perfected her long awaited snow angels. Noah really enjoyed the snow too, never really having seen very much before. 65279;Of course, we had to build a snowman. It was awfully small, but we didn't have much snow to work with.
