The best damn tech support community on EARTH. HotFixInstaller appears on my laptop. Mar 1st, 2014 at 9:29 PM. I started up my laptop a few days ago and noticed through checking processes (Task Manager) that theres something new running: HotFixInstaller.exe. Upon Googling it I have found that it is identified as Malware on a few sites and now Im paranoid. Thats my only laptop/computer and I am running Windows XP, is there any way to fix this? I got a new computer and Im trying to set up the VPN connection I had in my older one, but I cant seem to find the password, it seems to be blanked out.
