Monday, 30 November 2009. Many hundreds of people braved the freezing cold weather and threat of heavy showers on Saturday to attend the annual Barton Christmas Festival. Thankfully, the showers never came and we were left to enjoy the many stalls and entertainment on the big stage, as well as the ever popular parade through the town from Santa and his Reindeer and their many followers. . A beautiful ex-racing greyhound, from the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust stall. Nutty Norman did his bit on the stage.

Sunday, 31 January 2010. It was pretty stunning today down by the banks of the Humber. Here are a few photos from my walk in the sunshine. Roll on summer, it was very sunny but still very cold! What a contrast: up the hill from the allotments and we found this tunnel, undiscovered by us until now. Quite dark and long under the A15, I expect it would be a bit intimidating after dark.
