Modelling the Western in Mid Wales (EM). Thursday, 26 February 2015. This, that and the other. I've never had the luxury of an airbrush so I just gave them a few passes of white acrylic primer from an aerosol can, left them to harden and turned my attention to adding some slates to the half timbered cottage roof. For a good few years I've been happy to use the Wills roof slates which don't look too bad once all the visible edges have been thinned down but for the cottage I decided to try these. My first ...

Eastmoor: Wordless Wednesday
http://eastmoor.blogspot.com/2015/07/wordless-wednesday.html
Wednesday, 8 July 2015. 10 July 2015 at 09:36. With a big cheery wave to the box from a British designed loco (with a German Railways logo) that are now seen just about everywhere in continental Europe! 14 July 2015 at 10:54. The class 66 has become a European standard in many ways! They do get further afield too - Egypt, for example, has a fleet of them. Bizarrely you can see those passing similar signal boxes full of very similar equipment to the ones I know! 11 July 2015 at 01:44. 14 July 2015 at 11:02.

Eastmoor: Flamingo Land
http://eastmoor.blogspot.com/2015/03/flamingo-land.html
Friday, 13 March 2015. Is a long established theme park in North Yorkshire, around the site is a 'miniature' railway. In winter only part of the site is open, mainly the zoo and a few smaller rides. The railway doesn't run out of season but you can see it as it winds its way around the park and at the back the trains and their strange looking single wheelers steam outline locos can be found. I'm aware that some people have noticed one category on my blog over the last couple of years, namely the North Lindsey Light Railway. Option. I've even had a few people asking me at exhibitions about it! Nature is just begining to reclaim the permanent way at Normanby Park North following the demise of locally mined ironstone traffic. Photo courtesy of Michael Marshall. A view look north towards Normnanby Park North Signalbox, this is the look that I hope to capture. Photo courtesy of Michael Marshall.

Eastmoor: August 2015

Friday, 21 August 2015. A Horrible, Selfish Man. He actually moved just as the train was about to depart so Thomas did get his picture, but he only moved when he wanted to to get his footage - a horrible, selfish man. Sometimes at heritage railways, you can't expect to get a clear view because railways often have hoards of people and passengers! But here, well, you can probably tell my opinion of this man.
