Being Chronically Ill Is A Pill. Deals with life with chronic illnesses, crafting, writing, reading, movies, tv, , photography. Saturday, July 14, 2012. The Kindness of Others. Somehow on those very days, God always manages to send me a reminder in the form of "an angel with skin on" as one of my dears friends used to say. It isn't always some big deal, but without fail someone will do something so nice and so sweet for me, as to to redeem all mankind in my eyes! If that weren't enough to make a girl swo...

Lyme is Crazy: December 2013
http://lymeiscrazy.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. New Year's Eve Ideas for little kids. I'm not much for going out these days. It just takes too much of a toll on my body. Not to mention that my kids are really small (ages 2 and 6), so we're usually in bed WAY before the midnight bell rings. So, I've put together some ideas that we can do this year, together, as a family. 3 Sparkling Cider. To let the kids have a taste of celebration we'll toast with sparkling cider. Lyme is Crazy: Summer's Over Already?
http://lymeiscrazy.blogspot.com/2013/08/summers-over-already.html
Friday, August 23, 2013. I'm not really sure where the time has gone, but Monkey started Kindergarten on Monday - wow! Roo was not very happy about it, to say the least! But we did get away the week before school started for an unplugged vacation in the mountains! Luckily, this big one didn't get away! We played puzzles, pine cone golf, and climbed rocks. Found a local playground. Ate lots of meals outside:. And just generally got dirty! Labels: back to school. August 24, 2013 at 12:41 PM. Where I grew up.
Lyme is Crazy: February 2013
http://lymeiscrazy.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 28, 2013. DIY project #1 - dishwasher detergent. A few years ago we decided to go non-toxic with all our cleaning supplies and our grocery bill skyrocketed! Buying the name brands is expensive! So in efforts to tame our budget a little bit I decided to try my hand at making some cleaning staples. First up (mainly because that's what we were out of) was Dishwasher Detergent. Super simple and works well, too. Here's what I did:. 1 cup washing soda ( you can make your own from baking soda.

Monday, December 24, 2012. Christmas through the eyes of a 5 year old. And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone’s opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances. Friday, May 9, 2014. Semi-Permanent Rinse and Repeat. I don't know how to even start this post. Like everything in my brain lately, I know what I want to say but not quite sure how to say it. A sudden jolt of sadness | The Sterile Eye
https://sterileeye.com/2008/11/08/a-sudden-jolt-of-sadness
Life, death and surgery through a lens. A sudden jolt of sadness. November 8, 2008 4 Comments. I work at a cancer hospital, and I’ve lost family members to cancer. On a usual workday this is not something I think about a lot, except that it adds an extra dimension to the work I’m doing. But sometimes, little things and moments can suddenly make me sad. In 2005 my girlfriend’s little sister died at age 17, after fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It’s mostly when I walk from one place to another...
Lyme is Crazy: September 2012

Sunday, September 23, 2012. The Beauty of the City. I may love a country lifestyle, but there are a lot of beautiful things about the city. One - my husband lives here. If I were to ever leave; I'd be leaving him too because he's not about to leave this area. And, as far as husbands go, he's pretty great! Two - California is one of the only states where doctors can treat Lyme without fear of being sanctioned. Moving would literally be detrimental to my health. I think we're set for winter. Post I stated ...
Lyme is Crazy: Slap in the Face
http://lymeiscrazy.blogspot.com/2013/07/slap-in-face.html
Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Slap in the Face. Yesterday I was in line at Costco. When I pulled into the parking lot it was so easy to get a parking spot that I thought, wow, 1:00 is the perfect time to come here! I quickly did my shopping since I was without the kids, then I saw the lines. CRAZY! Where did all these people come from? Suddenly someone tapped my shoulder and asked if she could go in front of me because she only had one item. As if! Argh) (are you sending the need for an attitude check here?

My chronic illness ramblings. My name is Em, and if you’re reading this, you’ve come across my blog- so well done you!
