독서치료에는 다섯가지 흐름이 있는데 정보제공형 독서치료,. 상담자와 내담자의 촉진적 관계를 강조하는 Interactive Bibliotherpy, 시치료, 자기조력적 독서치료, 그리고 글쓰기 치료가 있다. 독서치료는 독서의 힘을 통하여 사람의 심리, 정서, 부정응 문제 해결을 돕고자하는 임상학문이다. 독서치료의 삼대 요소는 상담자, 내담자, 그리고 텍스트(문학작품/ slef help books)인데 이 세 가지 요소들 중 어떤 부분을 강조하는지, 또 독서 행위에서 읽기와 생각하기, 그리고 표현하기 중 어떤 점을 강조하는가에 따라 다음 다섯가지 흐름이 있다. 첫째, 정보제공형 독서치료로서 텍스트와 내담자의 상호작용을 강조하는 유형이 있다. 두번째, 상담자와 내담자의 촉진적 관계를 강조하는 Interactive Bibliotherpy 유형이 있다. 세번째, 문학작품 자체를 강조하는 유형으로 시치료(poetry therapy)가 있다. 가 결성되어 있어 프로그램에 대한 표준을 제시하고 자격관리 및 치료사...
