This is a blog dedicated to my rabbit hobby and various other fiber related topics. Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Oscar thinks that he is keeping a close eye on the nest box that I store in the cat condo. He volunteers to bunny sit.. In reality I keep the baby bunnies in a cookie tin lined with a cloth and stuffed with angora clippings when not being fed by Mila. I then put the tin in a rabbit carrying cage INSIDE a larger rabbit cage. Locked. Nice try, Oscar. Tuesday, March 24, 2015. It's been a long time...

The plan is to get him tested, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and released if he is truly feral. I see you. And I have seen your trap.". If any of you...

This is a blog dedicated to my rabbit hobby and various other fiber related topics. Monday, June 16, 2014. McCormick's Neon Food Coloring. Lately I have been on a fiber dyeing binge. McCormick's food dye is hard to resist because it is simple to use and in my kitchen cupboard. I just add a bit of white vinegar as a mordant and the colors become permanent. All the colors are vibrant with green being my favorite. The purple was disappointing after two attempts to get complete saturation.

This is a blog dedicated to my rabbit hobby and various other fiber related topics. Sunday, December 30, 2012. Wilmington, Ohio NYE show. I had an enjoyable time but missed my fellow competitors as I was the only French Angora or English Angora exhibitor to show despite being sanctioned. My smarter counterparts were probably at home spinning and knitting. By the time the show had ended the roads were clear so the drive home went well. This is a blog dedicated to my rabbit hobby and various other fiber related topics. Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Not much has been happening in the angora department for the last couple of months, hence, the lack of blogging. I attended a show several weeks ago but only had one French Angora to show and no competition. There was a new English Angora exhibitor so that was a pleasant surprise. I hope she sticks around. Don't you just love the halo? It is super soft and quite a lovely color.
