The Knitbitch: April 2013
http://theknitbitch.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 April 2013. Crochet a Queensday ring. What’s more Dutch for Queensday than a king or queen crown? That’s why I decided to crochet a ring with a crown on-top. The ring itself is not too difficult, it’s placing the ring on-top without interruption the work that’s challenging. If you find that too difficult you can crochet the 2 as seperate pieces and sew them together afterwards. What you need for this project:. Some standard thin cotton SMC. Crochet hook 2 and 3mm. Step 1: the ring. I have made...

Monday, 17 June 2013. Knitting-in-public in Sønderborg slot. This sunday i joined the knitting-in-public event organized by Margit Berthelsen at Sønderborg slot. We discussed the Amigurumi workshop that we want to organize in October when there will be a big craftmanship exhibition in the castle. Here I am with my mum, knitting inside the ancient walls and vaults of the castle. Because of the bad weather the event had to be moved inside. More on the event in October later. Lazy, lazy, lazy Knitbitch you might think. we haven't heard anything for so long. well because I have been very busy, unfortunately not knitting, but my day-job has been very demanding in the last year. Nevertheless in-between I have managed to craft a new cardigan. In-between as in, I need to knit to distract myself from work, it's my meditation. so I gladly knit at night. The Knitbitch: Knitted throw-around blanket jacket
http://theknitbitch.blogspot.com/2014/02/knitted-throw-around-blanket-jacket.html
Friday, 28 February 2014. Knitted throw-around blanket jacket. Anyways it took so long, since every time I tried something it didn't work out. But finally setting on such a simple model, with just a plain regular stitch it worked. (just very boring to make) all the complicated stuff just didn't work with this yarn. and I'm glad my sister liked, it was her christmas gift. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://theknitbitch.blogspot.com/2014/02/old-knitting-photos.html
Friday, 21 February 2014. Recently I posted the finger-less gloves with Space-invaders. Sort-off intarsia pattern. I was telling how these gloves were made of the yarn I had used for the rim with running-men for a sweater I knitted many, many years ago. The pictures are from times when people were more conscious about when to taking a picture, i.e. took pictures at special occasions etc, were it was not normal to take picture of everything all the time, so Sandy remembers that Ulla (to the left) ...View ...

The Knitbitch: Kingsballs; preps for Kingsday
http://theknitbitch.blogspot.com/2014/04/kingsballs-preps-for-kingsday.html
Monday, 21 April 2014. Kingsballs; preps for Kingsday. For this years kingsday I'm preparing Kings Balls. Since last year the Netherlands have a King, Amsterdam city was full of decoration carrying his new logo etc, see the ball in the background were I have tried knitting it. Was dang complicated I tell you. Balls in foreground carry simple crowns, one for king Alexander and one for princess Maxima, much easier. For the last Queensday last year (or was it already Kingsday? I crocheted princess rings.
