Thanks Mr. Stewart

http://blog.greggant.com/post/126079434763/thanks-mr-stewart

Aug 7, 2015. Thanks Mr. Stewart. Stewart Colbert shirts became a mainstay of my wardrobe (I’ve owned 3 total, 2008/2012/2016) as pictured above. John Stewart Signed off today. I never really had idols but John Stewart was about as close as they come. I’ve been watching The Daily Show since 1996, and avidly since 2000 after John Stewart took the helm in 1999. It sparked my insatiable thirst for political humor and was no small part of my personal political evolution.  . PS, Mashable can go fuck itself.

http://blog.greggant.com/post/126407333493/bendghazi-is-real

Aug 11, 2015. My iPhone 6 finally stress fractured from a mild bend. I wondered how many days I had before it happened. After rolling 2 years without any case on my iPhone 5, its a bit clear the iPhone 6 isn’t as durable, and short of an extreme case that the iPhone 6 its plenty more mallable. .

Spotlight hung on OS X Yosemite with 100% CPU usage | Tequila Fish

http://www.tequilafish.com/2014/11/13/spotlight-hung-on-os-x-yosemite-with-100-cpu-usage

Mdash; Ran-dumb ramblings of me. Spotlight hung on OS X Yosemite with 100% CPU usage. I recently upgraded from OS X Mavericks to Yosemite, and all went well except for one thing: The mds. There are a million different things that can go wrong with Spotlight, and plenty of articles out there on how to fix them. Some of the things I tried were:. Verify Disk & Verify Disk Permissions in Disk Utility. Fiddle with the mdutil. Command to disable/re-enable indexing. Manually removing the /.Spotlight-V100. Sudo ...

These days as a front-end web developer you can find yourself drowning in new tools to try out. You can spend hours on end trying to keep up with all of these new tools to add to your workflow. GregersBoye.dk - Simplicity is the peak of civilization

Simplicity is the peak of civilization. Arduino intervalometer part 1 – triggering the camera. July 10, 2015 – 13:30. So, the idea of the arduino intervalometer is to trigger a camera at a set interval – therefore the first thing to figure out, is how to actually triggering the camera. Most DSLRs have a pretty straight-forward way of triggering the camera, using the remote port. Opening the port, you find three pins, one ground, one for auto-focus and one for taking the picture. So, for a while, I’...

Greger's blog – Inside info on my art and photography practice.

Inside info on my art and photography practice. Chrome zooming when using scroll wheel. As I was browsing the web a few days ago, I started noticing that every time I scrolled down on the mouse wheel, Chrome would zoom the page to 90%. At first I thought Ctrl was stuck, but after rebooting and testing a bit, I found out that it was not the problem. The culprit was a util I use called KatMouse. This I found after searching and finding this post. Michael Uttley writes at the Google product forums:. In shor...

Greg Fiumara's Blog. Ramblings about life, technology, and the real world. App Store Cleanup is Nice, but App Store Search is Still Broken. Update (10 December 2016). Three months after I originally posted this article, and one month after “old” apps would be forced to update by Apple, there is only a single change the removal of Elixr.
