Monday, January 28, 2013. Moving my posts from here on out to my new blog page. Another Week, Another Dollar! Another week in the books and this winter training is as hard as I thought it would be. Some days it's just so hard to get outside in the cold weather. I've done most if not all my harder workouts, but it's the easy runs that I usually skip. Wednesday, January 25, 2012. First time back in the pool, tonight. Felt good being in the water. I did not swim in school so this triathlon thing has got me hooked on swimming, absolutely love it! Next week I plan on getting to the pool 2-3 times a week. Accomplished a big goal this week also, finally got under 160lbs! Just a little bit more to go. Week 3 totals - strength (2:10:22), swimming (2:08:34, 5000 yds), biking (0), spin bike (4:20:00), and running (3:01:37, 15.85 miles) for a total of 11:41:03. Wednesday, January 2, 2013. 1 Sub 6 minute mile - my fastest timed mile over the last 11 years is 6:44, but I did a 6:20 mile during a 5K. 2 18:59 5K - last year I wanted a 19:59 and got a 20:01, but if my mile time is sub 6 then I figured what the heck, let's make it good! 3 3:45 marathon - now this one will be the hard one because I only have 1 or 2 chances. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. August 26th, 2012. When the gun went off at 7am, it sure didn't take long to get to the water. 2.4 miles of swimming in the Ohio river was up first. The 1st 1/2 mile of the swim is on the inside of an island and my plan was to stay towards the outside of the island to avoid the crowds. This worked great! Put my head down and continued.
