Sacred Beer: April 2011
http://saintlouisdrinksbeer.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 1, 2011. In which some saucy local drinkers endeavor to document the area's more traditional corner bars. You can contribute, review and browse dives, sports bars, lounges, and of course taverns of note from the Innerbelt to the East Side. The simple prose of the guide serves the subject matter well, and reveals that the writers to be no mere slummers. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Good Beer Blog. Sacred Beer: November 2010
http://saintlouisdrinksbeer.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 11, 2010. I can make stuff. I just made pumpkin muffins. I mean, I got a pumpkin, cleaned it out, cut it up, baked it, pureed it, mixed it with pumpkin ale and a bunch of other stuff, poured the mix into a muffin pan and stuck it in the oven until it became muffins. And they were delicious. If you knew what a terrible cook I was, you'd understand: this is significant. Maybe I'm not a cook, but a baker. That must be it. I am a baker. I bake. Feel the power. Bottles & Cans: January 2010

Sunday, January 17, 2010. Cooking w/Beer: Roasted Fish with Wheat Beer Sauce. Sometimes there are beers that get lost in one's cellar. It's not that they're bad beers. It's just that it might not be a style one is really into. You have to figure out something to do with it. To drink an entire bomber of a beer you're not entirely sure you want to drink in the first place is hard to do. So, we look to cooking as an option. After some searching on the Internets, I came across a roasted fish recipe. Place fi...
Bottles & Cans: The Beer I Drank Today: BrewDog/Stone Bashah
http://bottlescan.blogspot.com/2010/02/beer-i-drank-today-brewdogstone-bashah.html
Thursday, February 4, 2010. The Beer I Drank Today: BrewDog/Stone Bashah. I'll drink and enjoy anything the folks at Stone brew. That's just a fact. On the other hand, whatever BrewDog puts in a bottle promises an awful lot, but it rarely delivers on that promise. That said, I enjoyed the beer anyway. It's still better than 90% of the beers out there and is unique enough of an experience to warrant another pint. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Beer Blog/Zine Review: Hot Knives. Bottles & Cans: Lost in Tank 7 (Plus Get It Together: Farmhouse Ale and Cheese Fondue)
http://bottlescan.blogspot.com/2010/02/lost-in-tank-7-plus-get-it-together.html
Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Lost in Tank 7 (Plus Get It Together: Farmhouse Ale and Cheese Fondue). Such are the mysterious numbers in my favorite TV show, Lost. They come up time and time again throughout the series, hiding some cryptic meaning for Losties like myself to ponder endlessly. The obsession for this show runs deep as I wait nine or so months for the show to return to the weekly lineup. Even as intensely frustrating as the series can be, I'll wait for it's arrival every February. The Beer I Dr...

Sacred Beer: August 2009

Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Yet another story about buying down. Great news for beer. Http:/ www.reuters.com/article/lifestyleMolt/idUSTRE57G2VL20090817. Even though the increase in popularity proves that craft beer is hardly boutique. Appreciated by a specialized and sophisticated market, yes, but ultimately populist in nature. Monday, August 24, 2009. Oh right, I have a blog. For today's note, I'd like to mourn the passing of Wm. Shakespeare's Gastropub. Ah well, back to the brewpubs. A Good Beer Blog.

Bottles & Cans: Double Bastard and College Basketball
http://bottlescan.blogspot.com/2010/02/double-bastard-and-college-basketball.html
Monday, February 1, 2010. Double Bastard and College Basketball. There was a post from the previous week about drinking some beer over football. It was never completed, but I'll somehow manage this sports-related post concerning sports and beer. Maybe I'll have room for a Super Bowl edition. Sunday afternoon is a great time to take in a college basketball game and even better time to take in a beer. Notice the champagne cap. It works when you can't finish a beer in one sitting.
