Locally growing healthy mushrooms. 8211; This is our first King Oyster (Pleurotus Eryngii) grow and it seems that everything is going ok. 8211; The substrate is 40% horse manure, 40% worm casts, 5% gypsum and 5% vermiculite. 8211; The substrate was steam pasteurized at between 60 and 70ºC, mixed with the king oyster mycelium and filled into 2 bags (1 bag about 3,5kg and the other about 2kg). Both blocks started forming pins (mushrooms birthing) when they where still in the closed bag.

The mushrooms are spinning with long steams telling us that they need more light so…. 8230;we found for them a new home with plenty of light. In this trial growroom we will be doing the same tasks as in the future bigger setup but with less substrate, 40kg of substrate/week. 8211; The room has a northwest orientation and has a big tree by the window. 18 de março de 2013. Laboratório da Casa do Cogumelo. Desde que comecei este projecto, tenho sido confrontado com alguns desafios. O mais interessante foi, sem dúvida, a mudança para o Laboratório. Apesar deste novo espaço ter permitido acelerar e aumentar a produção do spawn (semente) do fungo, fui impedido de continuar a produção e venda de novos kits. É considerada uma iguaria de excepção na China. Por outro lado, há um estudo que afirma que o parente havaiano desta espécie, através do seu odor, causa uma excitação sexual fora do comum e chega mesmo a levar algumas das suas conterrâneas ao orgasmo, fazendo aumentar a sua procura no país. Foram sujeitos ao odor deste cogumelo 20 homens e 16 mulheres.
