Since his hip fracture, Dad has become a chair potato. He's refused to do his physical therapy, so he still has a slight limp and it's difficult for him to get in and out of a car. I gave him copies of these and offered to take on payment duties to make sure things are paid on time and (surprise surprise) he got somewhat huffy. Not angry just "back off." He said I was too pushy and I said maybe so but he was too sensitive about it, and he grinned. Then we changed the subject. Sigh. I think it would help when I talk with him. Caring for a father with Alzheimer's. Monday, November 5, 2007. After a lot of back and forth, stubbornness on Dad's part and bossiness on my part, we have finally reached some understandings:. Dad hasn't yet agreed not to use razors to shave, but he's stopped asking and has stated that he's going to try the electric razor again.
