This Texas Momma: Nine months
http://thistexasmomma.blogspot.com/2014/07/nine-months.html
Thursday, July 17, 2014. My dearest Elyse, you are 9 months old! This is another one of those odd mile markers…from now on you will have lived outside of my body than you lived inside. Thank goodness I still can claim your dependency on me. While you do eat table food at this point, you are "eating" for practice, for taste, and for texture. NOT for nutrition…that you still get from me! And whatever it is, it's working! One thing I'm not thrilled to remember from this past month was your first real boo boo.

This Texas Momma: October 2014

Monday, October 20, 2014. Elyse- It happened. The day came. You turned one and there isn't anything I could do about it. My baby is technically no longer a baby. I held you a little longer the night before and may have cried a little. Your birthday was on a Tuesday, so the Sunday night before I threw you a birthday party. You were NOT sure about all those people in your house! And later after dinner we sang you happy birthday again and let you have a cupcake. You only turn one once, after all! Let's see&...

This Texas Momma: September 2014
http://thistexasmomma.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 15, 2014. There is no way that in a month you will be a year old. Nope. I refuse to believe it. For now I will cherish my still-new baby and marvel at your precious babyness. Yeah, you started vertical on the waterproof blanket and ended up like this. I don't know what's up with your tongue either. You are constantly sticking it out. And it's always pointed. Beebee girl, you are finally getting more teeth! So as you can see, you've had a great month. We've had our ups. Update on baby #3.

This Texas Momma: January 2014
http://thistexasmomma.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 23, 2014. Isn't it funny how an entire room will take on a new persona, just because one little detail needed to be changed? When I bought my dinning room set, I KNEW the padded chairs would be a problem, but I couldn't find any sets that I liked that had wooden seats. Originally they were cream, but I immediately recovered them in some duck cloth and scotch guarded them within an inch of their life. Plus, it was just time for a make-over. Here's the before. I love how it turned out!

This Texas Momma: Eight Months
http://thistexasmomma.blogspot.com/2014/06/eight-months.html
Sunday, June 15, 2014. Leesie Ann, you are 8 months old! What a change you've gone through over the last few weeks, mostly in the vocal area (a loud vocal area. Girlfriend. You are LOUD.) You've developed a growl to let people know you are not happy! You can't sleep in that cradle forever! Elyse, I love you so much. Squishing my cheek into your cheek is one of my favorite things to do. (even when you are pushing me away because I'm smothering you. Ha! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Update on baby #3.

This Texas Momma: February 2014
http://thistexasmomma.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Follow up to last post. So this was supposed to be the follow up to last week's post. Like, the next day. Whoops. One of the more exciting things we have done was go through the car wash. Okay, I thought it was exciting. My little people did not. I made the mistake of sitting and watching the car in front of us go through the car wash with my window down. The air dryer was kinda loud, so they were convinced it was going to be the most loudest thing ever. This thumb right here.

This Texas Momma: May 2014
http://thistexasmomma.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 16, 2014. My sweet sweet Elyse. I love you. Just kidding. Like I'd be able to use that few of words. Elyse Ann, you are seven months old! You are 14 1/2 lbs, still wearing size two diapers, size 6 months clothes (although sometimes I put you in 9 months things and unfortunately they don't look as giant on you as I would like). What's the biggest achievement you've had this month? Cutting not one, but TWO teeth! Friday, May 2, 2014. For Mom's with boys. And can I just tell you something? I'm s...

This Texas Momma: August 2014
http://thistexasmomma.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 25, 2014. Elyse, you are 10 months old! It just cracks me up how much personality you shine with each day. You are the utter joy of your dad, your brother, you sister, your grandparents, and of course ME! But look at this face. It's so pretty it hurts my heart. That picture was taken at VBS this year. You were my helper! I volunteered in the kitchen this year so that I could keep you with me. We had so much fun! Momma's gotten brave at letting you handle bigger pieces of food. Oh Leesee An...
