Something to Say
It’s almost over…. | Journey(wo)man
https://brandiebrooks.wordpress.com/2008/08/03/its-almost-over
You can tell a lot by a person's shoes. It’s almost over…. 8221; and will feature our new name and logo, “BREAKAWAY”. I’m really ready for all the rooms to be finished just so we can see the finished product. Isn’t that just like humans….we are never content to see the pieces come together, we want to jump ahead and see the finished work. Well….to be honest.I am pretty stoked myself. Lots of work ahead but I am so excited about it. Let the madness begin! Laquo; Philosophy on the Mountain. You are comment...
Long Time No Post… | Journey(wo)man
https://brandiebrooks.wordpress.com/2008/11/14/long-time-no-post
You can tell a lot by a person's shoes. Long Time No Post…. Yes… I am the world’s worst blogger. The only reason I am probably blogging right now is because I am home sick from school today. For the past four days I have progessively gotten worse. Sickness comes as one of the “joys” of teaching. Let’s leaving a lasting impact on our world by not only proclaiming Christ as Savior and Lord but living out our lives as Christ followers who have been transformed into the very hands and feet of Jesus.

You can tell a lot by a person's shoes. What makes a muskrat guard its musk….COURAGE. Well, I officially stink at blogging. I thought, “Hey, this is something that I will stay on top of and make posts everyday”….WRONG! Maybe over summer break I can become more consistent. I used a clip from “The Wizard of Oz” featuring the Cowardly Lion. I just love him! Laquo; Tale as Old as Time…. Philosophy on the Mountain. Date : May 8, 2008. It’s time to blog again! In the Funk | Journey(wo)man
https://brandiebrooks.wordpress.com/2009/02/26/in-the-funk
You can tell a lot by a person's shoes. Well… as you can tell I am not a true blogger. For the last 8 days I have been in the funk with pneumonia, ear infections, and upper respiratory infection. My kids at school probably think I am never coming back. I shall return on Monday. What if all doctor’s office visits “insured” that when we walked out the door after 4 – 5 hours, we might actually feel better? It may seem clique…but what can make me whole again….Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

I am married to the most wonderful guy and we have been blessed with 2 amazing children. We have recently moved to Savannah, GA to begin a new ministry, Canvas Church. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do. On January 2, 2008 at 10:09 pm. Hey Shelly. I went to West Ga with you and we taught together at Dorsett Shoals. I love your blog. I hope to be on top of mine this year as much as you are. That was my resolution. In fact, that is where my husband and I met- at church. Happy 2008 to you. You are ...

Laquo; where have i been? May 18, 2009 by shellygarvin. I am no longer going to try and make excuses for not blogging🙂 The Garvin’s are doing what we do best….cramming too much in one day! The last month has honestly been a blur. Here is some of what we have had going on:. Company….we continue to have family coming in and out of town. There always seems to be someone on the couch, a sleeping bag or an air mattress. I absolutely love it! School…will it ever end? What 11 year old boy wouldn’t love a...

May 24, 2009 by shellygarvin. This weekend was Ashleigh’s dance recital. She danced in 4 different numbers and did a great job! We were so proud! Here is a video of her practicing her lyrical in the dressing room. This was her daddy’s favorite dance🙂. Posted in family stuff. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. March 26, 2009 by shellygarvin. We have been packing and taking things over to the new house this evening. We have to be out by tomorrow evening and while we don’t have much time, we couldn’t be more excited! The kids have never been so helpful. We took Buster over to the new house and he absolutely loved the backyard…he even ran if you can believe that🙂. We believe that there may be a boy close to Ryan’s age that lives next door…that will definitely make an 11 year old’s day! Posted in family stuff.
encouragement |
https://shellygarvin.wordpress.com/2009/05/19/encouragement
Laquo; no excuses. May 19, 2009 by shellygarvin. Things are a little…hmm…challenging right now🙂 In fact, a few hours ago we found ourselves on our knees as a family praying and asking God to do some things that only He can do. Church planting has definitely sharpened my walk with our Heavenly Father but I would be lying if I said that there were days that I didn’t question. Anyway, today I came across this blog. From our Pastor from CATR. And was so encouraged! Posted in random thoughts.
settling in and an answer prayer! |

Laquo; moving and birthdays. Where have i been? Settling in and an answer prayer! April 1, 2009 by shellygarvin. We are getting settled in the new house. Most of the boxes are unpacked and walls are patiently waiting to change colors so the pictures can be hung. I absolutely love this house! Of all the places that I have lived, this may be my favorite! I can’t wait to share pictures! This definitely was an answer to prayer and worth the emotional roller coaster of the last few weeks.

Laquo; dance recital. May 24, 2009 by shellygarvin. Here are a few pics from the dance recital. Due to a quick costume change, I was unable to get a picture of her ballet costume! We had 2 numbers to get 10 girls changed and hair in buns before their ballet dance…all buns managed to stay except for Ashleigh’s. The only mom that could get upset with me was me :) It was absolutely a wonderful night! Ashleigh in her tap costume. Ashleigh waiting for her lyrical dance. Posted in family stuff.
