http://spicesatchel.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Things we love: cooking, photography, crocheting, reading, math and board games. Friday, July 20, 2012. I have been crocheting, and creating iron-ons in photoshop to make clothes for the baby this week. I have a blast being a dork, and this is just the perfect opportunity. Not only can I be a complete dork, but the result is cuteness that will be even more cute when we get to dress our daughter up in the clothes. I made newborn onesies:. And iron-ons for toddler shirts, once she gets bigger. The first th...

The Spice Satchel: 2 day pork soup
http://spicesatchel.blogspot.com/2015/02/2-day-pork-soup.html
Things we love: cooking, photography, crocheting, reading, math and board games. Saturday, February 28, 2015. 2 day pork soup. This is a slow cooker extravaganza! Julienne radishes, cucumbers, and pickled ginger-done! After dinner, remove bones and extra fat chunks from the crockpot, store a large portion of the pork in a container for more delicious sandwiches, and leave about a pound in the crockpot juices, stick the whole thing in the fridge. After about 3 hours, scoop some soup in a giant bowl, add y...

Things we love: cooking, photography, crocheting, reading, math and board games. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. We had some white bread, and did not like it (surprise, surprise). So I thought, oh! We should make croutons. How do you make croutons? Paul can't eat store bought croutons We haven't looked very hard, but we haven't found any he can eat. There is a blurb in our cookbook about making your own croutons in the salad section. Score! Cut bread in 1/2 inch squares. Toss and coat with olive oil. I saw...

The Spice Satchel: June 2015
http://spicesatchel.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Things we love: cooking, photography, crocheting, reading, math and board games. Monday, June 1, 2015. Https:/ www.etsy.com/listing/235258662/natural-photography-color-wheel. I made some color wheel art with some of my photographs. I love them. They are bright, fun and can help teach kids colors. They can bring out the accent colors in any room decor and even though they are full of lots of colors, they won't clash. I hope I get some sales (of course! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Spice Satchel: March 2012
http://spicesatchel.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Things we love: cooking, photography, crocheting, reading, math and board games. Friday, March 30, 2012. Not what it was designed to be: part 1- a tree skirt. Laura wanted a tree skirt for Christmas. Nothing red and green. I like to use afghan patterns to make different things- scarves, rugs, hats. Similarly, I adapt patterns for other things into blankets, as I did with Amy's blanket (coming in part 2). Are also made from hexagon motifs, so naturally I had to make Laura and Travis matching stockings!

Norwood Family Blog: Water Fun
http://norwoodarts.blogspot.com/2015/06/water-fun.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. One of Samuel and Becca's favorite things to do is play in the sprinkler. When they tire of that, they like to empty out the toy bins that we normally use to hold outside toys, and fill them with water from the hose. Then they sit in there (how, I don't know, since the water is freezing! They will play in there until their lips are blue and I have to drag them inside. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Norwood Family Blog: Walking Tour of Fort Wayne
http://norwoodarts.blogspot.com/2015/06/walking-tour-of-fort-wayne.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Walking Tour of Fort Wayne. In our district, each class gets to go on 1 field trip each year. This year the 3rd grade field trip was a walking tour of Fort Wayne. The kids learn about the history of town during the school year, then at the end, they get to go see the sites in person. This year I went as a chaperone with Samuel's class. Here are some pictures from the day. The entire class by the statue of Mad Anthony Wayne, who Fort Wayne is named after. At the history museum:.
