There are just to many uses for these beautiful shoes. I ran 6 7:30 miles last Thursday in my Bikilas. Worked great in the snow. Got plenty of comments/questions from the running group. I escaped flu season without as much as a cold or a case of the sniffles. Have I been less stressed? Well, I spent the last 4 months finishing my masters thesis, so….nope. Have I been getting the recommended 7-8 hours of sleep every night? Um, no…. The Vibrams, not the beer. Although I'm sure the beer helps as well. Sound logic to me! Health, Wellness, Vibrams.

I’ve been running more and more over this past year in my Vibram 5 Finger (VFF) shoes. I made the switch over from part-time VFF runner to full-time this past August, after the Crim 10 mile race. I raced in normal running shoes, and experienced constant pain in my arches and achilles from mile 5-10. From that point on, I’ve only ran in my VFF’s. NYE 5ks make me sleepy…. Tags: dont judge me. I spent the early evening of New Year’s Eve running my last race of 2010. A 5k run on Belle Isle in 50 degree weather. Not a bad way to say goodbye to a good year. I ran the entire race in my VFF Bikilas. I was nervous before the race because my Bikilas were soaked due to the rain and I didn’t know if having my feet wet for 30 minutes prior to running, would result in blisters.
