The Reason For My Joy . . . Monday, February 25, 2013. I'm really behind on my posts so bear with me as I post things from months ago. Here we are carving pumpkins. Alexa and Rylan carved this one together. (It was actually mostly Alexa because Rylan didn't want to touch the slimy inside goup.). Here's Landon and Andrea with their pumpkins that they designed themselves. Here's Lyndie in her special Halloween pajamas. Rylan was a dinosaur this year to go trick-or-treating. Landon was a Clone Trooper.

The Reason For My Joy . . . Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Over Conference weekend this spring, we surprised the kids with an early Easter present . . . a new puppy! She's a pure bred black lab and we named her Dixie. Alexa has been begging me for a puppy pretty much every day for the past several years. We finally gave in with the understanding that she is predominately the one to take care of her. We were very excited and proud of her because she really did work hard on this project. We started off November with a Party Celebration for Jonathan's 8th Birthday. They went on a Treasure Hunt, made personal pizzas, and lots of fun games. He wanted a dragon cake so I had fun creating this all edible dragon cake. The next day was the highlight of the month-Jonathan's baptism! It seems that everytime we get snow, it melts within a few hours, so I vowed that we would somehow figure out a way to play in it. Well, today I was trying to convince my children to go outside with me and play! It didn't last long though. Kelton fell on some rocks and hurt his knee and he and Kailee went inside.
