JanTheAfrican: The Trans-Siberian
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2012/07/trans-siberian.html
Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Karoline and our wagon. Bed to open the window for them and help them store their luggage. So, there I stood in my very short boxer, mildly confused and unsure if they could tell what I had been dreaming about, while doing interval baggage lifting and window pulling that would have made my Gyria and CrossFit friends proud. Meanwhile this Mongolian family sat and watched in amusement with astonished smiles on their lips. Keero getting some air. Effort to stay as cool as humanly po...

JanTheAfrican: Beijing Baby !!!
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2012/06/beijing-baby.html
Sunday, June 24, 2012. Here we go again. We arrived in Beijing after sleeping through the five hours it took with the bullet train from Shanghai. This was not as planed considering that we had been looking forward to experiencing this trip. I blame the sake in Shanghai. Posing in The Forbidden City with the China symbol (peace sign). Still, none of this could even come close to finally experiencing The Great Wall. This is something I have imagined seeing all my life and lately I have read so much abo...

JanTheAfrican: February 2012
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 8, 2012. . . Old spot for playground. New site by office.

JanTheAfrican: Homecoming
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2012/07/homecoming.html
Monday, July 16, 2012. My sister and me. Lets clear something else straight away. Im not “insanely” tan! The last months in Africa where spent indoors or anywhere one could get away from the sun, and the last month going through Asia to Europe was spent either in a bad Bajo hangover or in a boiling tin can. Either way I see my self as excused. Pearl Jam in Oslo! 8221; It seems he has finally surpassed me, or as we say in Zimbabwe: “he has deleted me”. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). JanTheAfrican: June 2012
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 30, 2012. The great Kahn himself. After arriving in Mongolia and seeing the statue of one of the greatest conquerors and leaders of all time in the city square of Ulaan Bataar, Karoline managed to get us in on a deal spending four days out on the Mongolian plains with the natives, sleeping in their patented gers, eating their food and riding their horses and camels. What more can a huge Genghis fan ask for? Our guides, ze Germans and Keeero. Karoline strolling out into the semi Gobi. When ...

JanTheAfrican: December 2011
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 25, 2011.

JanTheAfrican: March 2012
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 25, 2012. Now also in English! We held our cool and smiled for the photographer but in reality we where both so utterly close to jump ship and swim to shore. The next day we went to se the pride of Zimbabwe and the motive on the old currency Zim dollars. I tried to climb it, pretending I was illiterate and dumb not managing to read the “No climbing” sign two meters to my right, and it almost worked! At least our guide seemed to view me as simple minded the rest of the day. Cainan came to vi...

JanTheAfrican: October 2011
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 28, 2011. Itt empati kanskje. =P. Sadza med halvstekt lever. Snakker for seg selv. 8211; by all means greet...

JanTheAfrican: September 2011
http://jantheafrican.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 22, 2011. So here goes what has happened so far. . .
