Saturday, 19 December 2009. Fire Hose Gallery opens! Season's greetings folks. Is it all snowy where you are? Here in Bristol, there is no snow. Just cold. Got some photos from the opening of the Fire Hose Gallery which happened a while ago. Drawing and Applied Arts were exhibiting in our space, and us in theirs. Collectively we are joining a selection of activity based social groups, allowing us to meet new people, become part of a team and keep fit. Wednesday, January 10, 2007. One for the technically minded. Ok, so most won't know or care about this one, but I needed to put it here so I can link to the image. In case you do care, it's a sample port I added to the line from the mash tun to the boil kettle so I can take readings with the refractometer (which essentially tells you the density of the wort i.e. sugar in the wort makes it more dense, and it's sugar you need so you can ferment it into alcohol - see, simple isn't it? Sunday, June 20, 2010. One Year and Counting. Finally up to date. I cant believe it has been 2 1/2 months since I blogged last. There have been so many exciting events that have happened and I truly believe this parenting things gets better by the day! Here is an outline. Brock gets 2 more teeth on top. Total of 6 now. Brock is officially a walker! By his very beginning of his 11th month Brock has the walking thing all figure out! We had a loss of a pet :-( Joe's Bearded Dragon Archie died. Very sad ...
