Michelle's Musings: January 2013
http://michelle-dot-el.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 11, 2013. Book of Remembrance and Lego Robots. The girls decided they wanted to do Lego Robots as well. I'd ordered some more blocks (we cheat and use an off-brand because I'm cheap) and so we dumped out all that we had and started at it. I kept whispering, "The battery compartment is the most important part". I had considered also playing some of the 80s music that I used to listen to all the time, but tonight, it was Jericho Road, one of the girls' favorite new CDs.

Michelle's Musings: January 2016

Monday, January 4, 2016. Musings on 1 Nephi 1-8. This is more for my own record-keeping and personal study process than anything else. I'm reading a book right now. That is really touching me and inspiring me in this direction. Blessed art thou" - I have seen this pattern in the BoM - someone prays, concerned about someone else, and God focuses first on His relationship with that person. (For example, see the story of Alma in Mosiah 26. And the other Nephi in Helaman 1. I love how Nephi calls upon the st...

Michelle's Musings: October 2015
http://michelle-dot-el.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 10, 2015. Saturday Morning Session Highlights. This messy cut-and-paste post was done while I was dealing with a migraine so please forgive the lack of editing - just another way for me to 'mark' what stood out to me.]. I was disregarding truth I could rely on. When it comes to spiritual truth, how can we know that we are on the right path? 8220;Does my life have meaning? 8220;Do I believe in God? 8220;Do I believe that God knows and loves me? 8220;Am I truly happy? Sometimes we feel di...

Michelle's Musings: August 2014
http://michelle-dot-el.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 8, 2014. Hastening vs. Haste. God is giving me varied opportunities to consider how I might be able to surrender more of my fear(s) to Him. I had some great conversations today that gave me a lot to ponder. One of those was with my husband. He is in Australia for two weeks and we have been using Google Hangouts (video chat) to stay connected. We're both in a sort of musing mode about learning to surrender the natural man. For me, that equates to often acting reactively - in haste. My husba...

Michelle's Musings: Wants and Needs -- or how I do Christmas
http://michelle-dot-el.blogspot.com/2015/12/wants-and-needs-or-how-i-do-christmas.html
Monday, December 21, 2015. Wants and Needs - or how I do Christmas. Saturday night, I spent quite a bit of time wrapping presents for my family. I know everyone does Christmas differently (and, truth be told, sometimes I have felt conflicted about how I've chosen to approach it), but I come from a family where Christmas is a big deal - fun food, lots of wrapping, lots of time unwrapping. How do you do Christmas? December 23, 2015 at 8:19 PM. January 3, 2016 at 1:50 AM. That brush story is awesome!

Michelle's Musings: Lehi's tent
http://michelle-dot-el.blogspot.com/2007/03/lehi-tent.html
Saturday, March 10, 2007. I'm having a lot of fun mulling over Lehi's tent with a group of people at a new blog called BoM Groupies. I thought I would include some of my thoughts here that I included in a couple of comments there. (This will help me keep better track of what I'm thinking about and studying, too.) ;) (I don't want to distract from comments over there, though, so you can join in over at the BoM blog if you want to comment.). So here are some of my thoughts:. Temple-related elements (altars...
