This is a cool wine, an anomaly in Priorat- -100% grenache blanc made from 100 year vines that were planted by religious missionaries. Very friendly and precious wine. Uncomplicated if you want, but layered and seriously interesting if you take the time to broach the subject. Brash enough to stand up to meat. 2010 OTT GRUNER VELTLINER "FASS 4". A Gruner Veltliner from Wagram; very typical citrus driven Gruner with melony, yellow fruit and a touch of spice. Clean and refreshing; but not lacking interest and depth, great with asparagus, shrimp and fish. Fass 4 refers to the barrels that the winery once used for aging, although now they age only in stainless steel. A medium bodied and pleasing wine, Gruner is great all year long!
